She smiled and asked the people in front of her, "Why can everyone else have an ordinary life, and I cannot? I just want a home where I'm not beaten or scolded, where I don't have to watch my parents fight in fear. I just want a warm, argument-free home. Why is that not possible? If my parents can't provide it, I'll have my own children and be my own mom to create a home. Why can't I do that? Are my demands really so extravagant?"
The confusion on the girl's face was genuine. She truly didn't understand. She didn't ask to be a millionaire, nor to be breathtakingly beautiful, only for a warm, ordinary, and even if not wealthy, a home. Why was it so difficult?
No one could answer the girl's questions. Although many of her values were incorrect, it wasn't her fault. Without waiting for an answer, and not caring for one, she looked up at the sky and said with a smile, "I am about to be liberated; nothing matters anymore."
