"Haha!" The speaker burst into a foolish laugh.
"Let's go and check under the cliff first to see whether the rope has been bitten through by wild animals. Otherwise, without a rope, we can't get out."
"Alright, we'll go with you!"
A group laughed and chatted as they headed toward the base of the cliff. However, before reaching the bottom, Luo Lan noticed something amiss and pointed towards the high cliff, saying, "Look, there's someone on the rope!"
At this remark, the companions immediately looked towards the cliff. Indeed, they saw someone descending from above.
"Quick, go and inform my father!" Luo Lan called out, prompting one of the companions to turn and dash back into the village.
"Miss Lan, what do we plan to do next?" someone asked Luo Lan.
"I'll go ahead and take a look, to see who they really are!"
"Alright, we'll go with you."
