After returning to reality from a brief moment of joy, Scarlett Yates seemed burdened with worries.
She would occasionally sneak a glance at Matthew Saxon sitting beside her.
Perhaps because he had rested well, Matthew's complexion looked much better, no longer as haggard and pale as it did during the day.
"What are you looking at?"
Matthew noticed that this was already the fourth time Scarlett had secretly glanced at him.
Although she thought she was concealing it well, he actually noticed from the first time she peeked at him.
He just hadn't pointed it out.
But her repeated secret glances followed by a worried expression finally compelled Matthew to ask.
"Nothing really, I was just observing how quickly it turned dark outside," Scarlett turned her head, pretending to admire the nighttime view outside the car window.
In a bustling metropolis like Z City, the nightlife is indeed the liveliest and most beautiful.
