Ji Rui and Le Tong have been busy lately, but occasionally, they pick up Baobao after work and head back to the mansion for dinner.
According to Ji Rui, Baobao is always making a fuss about wanting to see the dogs and cats back home.
Le Tong knows very well that Ji Rui is actually worried about leaving the immobile Mr. Ji alone and lonely in the mansion.
Though she's aware of his true feelings, Le Tong has never pointed this out to Ji Rui.
In her view, the relationship between this father and son has undoubtedly improved, yet they haven't been this close for so long that even though they meet frequently now, there's still an awkward and distant air between them.
Especially Ji Rui, he hardly initiates conversation with Mr. Ji. Whenever the old man asks him something, he answers in the briefest way possible, whereas even as an outsider, Le Tong talks more to Mr. Ji than Ji Rui does.
