Chapter 2 - Chapter 002: Yisen, Let's Get Divorced!

Her father's funeral was held a week later, and during this week, Munni had been constantly busy, seemingly trying to soothe the pain in her heart.

After the funeral, having taken care of the arrangements, Munni arrived home at eight in the evening.

At that time, Yisen was in the study working, and Munni's steps, initially towards the room, paused slightly before she turned towards Yisen's study.

She politely knocked on the study door, and after receiving a response from inside, she turned the knob and walked in.

Yisen looked up at Munni in her black dress; in the past week, she had lost a lot of weight, and her spirit seemed to have deteriorated a lot.

"Have you finished dealing with your father's matters?"

Earlier, he had wanted to stay and help Munni, but Munni firmly refused his help, asking him to return home early to rest.

Munni gently nodded, then walked over to the chair opposite his desk and sat down.

She slowly lifted her gaze towards Yisen sitting across from her, surrounded by soft lighting, which made his aloof and regal presence all the more distinct, yet his cold and handsome face showed no expression.

"Yisen."

She moistened her somewhat dry lips and softly called his name.

Yisen only lightly raised his eyebrow, indicating for her to continue speaking.

Munni lowered her eyes, reached into her bag, took out a document, and handed it to Yisen, "Let's get divorced."

A streak of surprise flashed across Yisen's face swiftly, and after a few seconds' pause, he finally reached out to take the divorce agreement Munni handed over.

He asked, "Have you really thought it through?"

Munni nodded, her voice hoarse as she replied, "Yes, I've thought it through. Thank you for the past three years, I don't want to bother you anymore."

She knew Yisen always hated trouble, and she... she was probably the biggest trouble he'd ever encountered in his life.

Yisen opened the divorce agreement, glanced at the contents, then elegantly signed his name as Party B.

"This marriage house will be transferred to your name, and the divorce compensation will be transferred to your account by my secretary."

The agreement stated that Munni could leave with nothing, but Yisen wanted to compensate her for the past three years.

"Alright, thank you."

As the words fell, the corners of her lips lifted slowly, forming a smile as clear and shimmering as river water.

"Munni, I wish you happiness."

Munni accepted the returned divorce agreement and warmly said, "Yisen, I wish you happiness."

The three-year marriage was finally about to end, and Munni felt a bit of reluctance in her heart, but more so, an emotional liberation as if a burden had been lifted.

Perhaps, over the years, not only was she Yisen's trouble, but was Yisen also an inseparable trouble in her heart?

Seeing her goal achieved, Munni stood up from the chair, no longer looking at Yisen, turned and gracefully left.

"Munni."

As she was about to leave, suddenly came Yisen's call from behind her.

She halted her steps, but did not turn around.

"I'm sorry for the unfairness towards you in the past few years."

Yisen's voice was calm and steady, faintly carrying a trace of apology.

He thought, the most unfair thing to Munni in the past few years was probably always mistakenly believing she was a deeply scheming woman, which led him to neglect her over the years.

His sudden apology made Munni's lips form a slight curve.

Unfairness? He had indeed been unfair in using her for several years, but so what... after all, it's all over.

"It's okay." She shook her head, and then lifted her leg to leave the study.

When Munni decided to marry Yisen, she encountered strong opposition from her father.
