"That's not it." Maeve said seriously, "I know Uncle wants to marry you and make you my Aunt!"
Mia glanced at Louis ahead and her face turned dark.
"But you don't want to be my Aunt." Maeve continued.
Mia held her hand, feeling amused and exasperated.
"You don't want to be my Aunt, but Uncle really wants you to be my Aunt. He's afraid you'll ignore him, so he brings me along every time and teaches me to say a lot of things to help him, but I don't think it works." Maeve's eyes were sparkling, her voice carrying a bit of childlike helplessness.
"Yes." Mia slowed down, "I like that uncle from earlier."
"Do girls all like uncles?" Maeve asked curiously, "I also like uncles, I don't like playing with those brats."
