"I know what you mean." Charlotte Chester looked at him irritably, stood up, and walked over to Mia Ginger, taking her hand.

Mia's hands were icy cold, but Charlotte's soft palm warmed them a little, and she didn't pull away.

Charlotte patted the back of her hand, smiling, "Mom knows you're upset about your sister's situation, but you're standing here perfectly fine, without a scratch. After all, we're family. Once things are out in the open, they can be let go. Don't take it to heart, alright?"

"Mom," Mia looked at her and said calmly, "I know you'll forgive her. It's alright, I don't mind."

"Mom knew you were the most understanding." Charlotte breathed a sigh of relief, smiled, and continued, "And about the lawsuit? See, your sister is pregnant, right? We can't let the child be born without a mother. Think about it, how sad would that be for the child."
