Louis Cox lowered his eyes to think, pulled out a pack of cigarettes, took one and handed it to him, flicked the lighter, and personally lit it for him.
His mood was somewhat complicated, so he simply turned his head to look elsewhere.
Two heavy coughs sounded beside him.

He got up and headed upstairs.
