Mia Ginger moved like a little fish trapped in a net, twisting and jumping under the showerhead.
She almost slipped.
Koa Jackson caught her in his arms, and Mia's arms lazily draped around him, as if they had lost their bones.
Looking down at her, Koa couldn't help but chuckle softly.
Koa lifted her face, she choked on some water, puffed her cheeks, and coughed, just like a little fish leaping in the water.
Suddenly caught in his palm, she struggled randomly.
"Be good."
Mia's face showed a strangely beautiful blush.
The redness emanated from her thin, delicate skin, both bizarre and beautiful.
Koa sighed lowly, lifted the blanket, and cautiously placed her inside.
Koa turned to the bedside table to find a nail clipper, laid out a couple of tissues, held Mia's hand, lowered his head, and focused intently on trimming her nails. He finished one hand, then brushed her hand over his face a couple of times, barely noticing anything.
