This departure lasted a full nine years.
She returned to the country and saw Caiden Ward again.
He was married, Rosy Harris had become Mrs. Ward, praised by everyone in the circle, and gave Caiden Ward a son, who was very much loved by his mother.
She tasted the flavor of heartache.
She always thought about it, every time she recalled it, she found it both laughable and lamentable, yet her longing for Caiden Ward did not fade with time.
Near forty, Caiden Ward was just as she remembered, as if time had left no trace on him; his handsome face was exactly as she remembered, and his figure was still tall and robust, his slight smile exuding charm.
She finally understood, that longing was love all along.
Yet she dared not reveal it.
Though she was born into the Myres Family and raised abroad, she could not bring herself to interfere in someone else's marriage.
Caiden Ward was not Cesar Myres, reputation mattered greatly.
