"I really can't argue with you," Koa Jackson said as he helped her open the passenger door, fastening the seatbelt while adding, "Night shift. When I left, Grandpa still wasn't asleep."
"Ah?" Mia Ginger glanced at him, troubled.
Actually, her job wasn't all that difficult. Since starting, she only needed to work two days a week, one day doing voice over and another day livestreaming. The only concern was the timing of the livestream, which started at 1 a.m.
The old gentleman was, of course, quite worried.
But—
She didn't want to give up easily.
She's still keeping her pregnancy a secret from everyone at work.
As Koa Jackson drove the car, she softly said, "Try to persuade Grandpa more. He's been sleeping well lately; it's so late, he should just go to bed and not worry about me. Besides, isn't it you who specially drives me back and forth now?"
"I know," Koa Jackson replied with a helpless expression, "I've already tried to persuade him to rest."
