Mark looked at Melody Parker with gentle eyes and promised, "You say it, as long as I can do it."
"Alright." Melody Parker looked at Mark and straightforwardly said, "I beg you to agree to two things for me: First, if one day I am again controlled by Virgil Davies, kill me!"
Mark looked at Melody Parker with determined eyes and said, "That won't happen! I will never give Virgil Davies another chance to control you!"
Melody Parker smiled, "Thank you."
Her smile was desolate and bitter.
Mark watched, and his heart ached even more.
He really wanted to go over, hold her, and give her some comfort.
But he knew that what she needed was not his embrace, but another man's.
And if he did that, he would only embarrass her.
In the past, he was such a spontaneous person, but because of her presence, he started to restrain his actions.
Because he just wanted to silently guard and care for her beside her, not scare her away, making her distant from him!
