Serena Sterling looked at the door and spoke coldly, "You should go; it's very late now."
No one responded to her, and the knocking started again.
Listening to the incessant knocking, Serena had no choice but to reveal the visitor's identity, "I know who you are, Young Master Morris. Is there something you need?"
No one answered. Serena spoke coldly, "Young Master Morris, regardless of how you found me here, I ask that you leave quickly. Your knocking will not only wake my daughter but also disturb the neighbors."
Serena thought that once she said that, Malcom Moore would certainly leave.
After all, in his mind, hadn't she already married and had a daughter with someone else?
But she was wrong. Malcom Moore did not leave, and the knocking at the door grew louder, almost as if he intended to break it down.
"Open the door! If you don't, I'll kick it down!" The man outside sounded as if his patience had worn thin.
