Mu Yan had a dream all night, a very long dream.
The small room was in complete disarray, with torn paintings and broken art supplies littered all over the floor.
A girl of about seventeen or eighteen sat on the bed, hugging her knees, looking utterly defeated.
A "knock knock knock" sounded at the door.
The girl looked toward the door with impatience, "I said I don't want to eat, can you just let me have some peace?"
"Yanyan, you haven't eaten for two days now, be a good girl and open the door!" A gentle voice came from outside the door.
"I said, I'm not eating!" the girl yelled.
"Yanyan, don't be stubborn, everything else is a minor issue, your health is the priority."
Minor issue? The girl was infuriated by the term.
She suddenly jumped off the bed, rushed to the door, opened it, and shouted at the woman at the door, "You think getting expelled is a minor issue? People pointing and calling me a thief, none of it bothers you? Are you still my mom?"
