Mu Yan watched Zhuang Chujiao storm out and simply smiled.
What will come will come, there's nothing to be afraid of.
She turned her head to the two security guards and thanked them, "Thank you both for helping out."
"You're welcome, Mrs. Jiang."
The two security guards nodded and left.
The living room suddenly became quiet. Mu Yan took the water cup from the coffee table to the kitchen and then went upstairs to pack her things.
As she was about to leave, she received a call from Jiang Jingheng.
"The meeting's over?" she asked.
"Yeah, did you get bullied just now?"
Mu Yan chuckled, "You think I'm so pathetic, huh, that just anyone could bully me."
"Even if I think so, I can't help but worry," he said softly.
Worry clouds one's judgment, Mu Yan understood what he meant.
She asked, "What's the deal with that girl and you anyway? She acts more entitled than I do, the real Mrs. Jiang. Could she be some past fling of yours?"
