In the bedroom, Mu Yan had just laid down when she received a call from Jiang Wenhui.
"Nuannuan, something terrible has happened."
Mu Yan sat up and asked, "Elder sister, what happened? Is it about Grandfather..."
"It's not Grandfather, it's Aunt, she's been taken away by the police!"
Police? Mu Yan was a bit shocked, "What happened?"
"It seems she is accused of murder. The police just called the house. Aunt is an orphan and has no other relatives in Upper City, only Jing Heng and Uncle. Uncle is abroad arranging medical treatment for Grandfather, and Jing Heng is unreachable, so I had to call you."
"What can I do?" Mu Yan hesitated, "Should I get her bailed out?"
"If you don't want to step in, I can help you. However, I'm worried Aunt might misunderstand my intentions and not accept my help."
"I understand, I'll handle it," Mu Yan replied.
"Will this be too much trouble for you, given your relationship with Jing Heng..."
