Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: She really couldn’t understand why it was him!

In front of the huge floor-to-ceiling windows stood a tall and slender figure, with a well-toned and perfectly sculpted physique reminiscent of a male model. He was not wearing any clothes, his entire body seemingly just out of the bath, with only a towel wrapped around his waist.

He was so sexy it made one's... blood race.

Gu Zixuan stared at the scene in shock, until she suddenly realized something and quickly looked under the blanket.

Under the blanket, she wore nothing, her original clothes were all gone, and she was only wearing a man's shirt.

On her exposed long legs were some strange bruises...

A chilling sensation crept from her head to her toes, anger gradually building up and rushing back to her head again.

She raised her gaze and reprimanded, "How could you be like this?"

He laughed and turned around, "Like what?"

In the morning light.

His features were sharp and handsome, with a deep and mysterious aura infused with a hint of arrogance.

A familiar face surfaced in her memory.

Gu Zixuan was taken aback, stunned, "Is it you?"

He laughed even more softly, his face against the glass window looked quite lazy, not to mention, he was also holding a crystal glass, swirling the red wine inside the glass lightly.

"Can't it be me?"

"..."

"Or is it that... I was too much?"

With that sentence, Gu Zixuan's face immediately tightened, becoming hot.

Faced with his gaze, her face blushed uncontrollably.

After a brief pause, she suddenly threw off the blanket and quickly hid in the bathroom.

Her escaping manner made him turn his head, laughing with his eyes half-closed, "Tsk tsk."

Inside the bathroom, Gu Zixuan's heart pounded in her throat, her face growing hotter and hotter.

The sealed space cut off the sound of his laughter, but through his earlier words, she could guess what his expression must be like.

Running her hands through her hair, she couldn't understand why it had to be him!

How could it be him!

Frustrated, Gu Zixuan twisted open the tap and quickly splashed water on her face.

When she had become a bit more composed, she looked at her clothes placed at the side of the washbasin.

They seemed freshly laundered and dried, emitting a pleasant warmth.

She was momentarily taken aback, but without much thought, grabbed the clothes, and changed quickly.

When she came out of the bathroom, he had also changed into his clothes, sitting on the recliner like a quiet emperor, holding a financial newspaper, sipping wine, and browsing through it.

Seeing her come out, he lifted his gaze and glanced at her.

Gu Zixuan pretended not to notice, said nothing, and grabbed her purse, then turned and walked out.

Descending the long spiral staircase rapidly, Gu Zixuan walked quickly.

However, upon reaching the first floor, as she hurried to turn a corner, she bumped headlong into someone...

Yu Xi really felt like his luck was down; otherwise, how could he end up being a driver in the middle of the night, getting scolded without mentioning it, and early in the morning getting bumped right into by someone.

Holding a glass of milk and a plate of croissants, he looked at the woman in front of him and said with exasperation, "I say, ma'am, even if you bought your driver's license, I'd understand, but there's no need to practice sharp turns inside the house!"

Gu Zixuan narrowed her eyes, looking at the young man with golden hair splattered with milk dripping down his face due to her collision, she pursed her red lips slightly, somewhat embarrassed.

But upon seeing that his face bore a slight resemblance to the person upstairs, her expression darkened.

Pushing Yu Xi aside, she said nothing and left.

Being pushed off balance, Yu Xi watched the back that had already closed the door leave and widened his eyes, "Oh come on, with that temper, my uncle even let me bring you breakfast? This is called hit and run, don't you know!"
