Doctor Lester was a man in his forties. Upon seeing Brandan and Lady Hyde enter, he respectfully stood up and invited them to sit down.
"Doctor, what illness does our Iris have?"
As soon as they entered, Lady Hyde hurriedly asked.
Doctor Lester handed the medical report to Brandan and Lady Hyde. After pondering for a moment about his tone, he said, "...The preliminary diagnosis is acute leukemia."
"Leukemia?"
The word 'leukemia' was not unfamiliar to Brandan and Lady Hyde.
"How could Iris have leukemia?" Lady Hyde trembled as she picked up the report, staring blankly at the words, "No way... She just donated bone marrow to Brandan not long ago, how could it be now..."
"What exactly is going on?"
Brandan asked suddenly.
His dark eyes fell on the doctor's face, seemingly containing something.
Doctor Lester hesitated for a moment, then said, "Has Miss Harris recently come into contact with something?"
"What?" Lady Hyde was taken aback.
