Iris Harris nodded and turned to walk towards the buffet area.
Brandan Hyde stood in place, watching her go over to the chef to order a steak and then sit alone at the table, lowering her head to eat. Only then did he turn around to walk towards the hosts.

The steak was tender, its juices flowing out with a fresh aroma. Iris Harris hadn't had dinner and was delightfully eating alone in a quiet corner.
The people here were either networking or knowing the big shots, or just like Brandan Hyde, giving face to the hosts. Everyone had their own business, and this side of the buffet area was sparsely populated.
Iris Harris had eaten a piece of steak and started to feel a bit greasy, just as she was about to stand up and get a glass of red wine to cleanse her palate, a simple white hand appeared, offering her a glass of red wine and placing it in front of her.
