Iris Harris turned on the tap, slowly washing her hands.
From the men's restroom next door, came a barrage of curses and a woman's cry.

The sound of a heavy object hitting the ground accompanied by the woman's cries reached Iris, and she turned off the tap, slightly furrowing her brow.
She knew she shouldn't meddle in others' affairs, but the terrible sound of someone hitting the wall frightened her. Just as she was considering whether to call the police, a man emerged from next door, cursing as he walked away.
After hesitating for a moment, she decided to go over. At the entrance of the men's restroom, a petite woman lay on the ground, barely conscious, with blood all over her forehead.
Iris was startled and hurried over, cautiously saying, "Are you okay?"
