Isabella Weaver listened and said nonchalantly, "I'm not jealous; you're overthinking it. It's perfectly normal to buy her a gift."
Harry Hunter didn't believe her. He's come to understand that girls do care about these things. He hadn't initially thought this was an issue, but since Isabella mentioned it more than once, he felt the need to clarify; otherwise, he'd be wrongly accused.
He emphasized again, "I didn't buy any gift. Don't give me a guilty name for nothing."
Isabella appeared indifferent, but she couldn't hide her inner joy.
She touched her heart, feeling it strange. When she was with Milo Field, and he bought gifts for Gilly Scott, she was never upset and hardly ever asked about it. Why is it different with Harry Hunter, and she cares now?
Could she be...?
Isabella suddenly shook her head and stood up from Harry Hunter's lap, taking her design drafts and heading to her room, "I'm going to draw, you take some rest!"
