"Probably not."
Connor reassured her, "As long as you don't show off too much or get into trouble, no one will suspect you. Plus, with the way you've disguised yourself, even people who used to know you probably won't recognize you."
Her pink hair was now dyed a silvery gray, adorned with large earrings and heavy makeup. She wore a colorful T-shirt covered in beads and ripped jeans, looking like a rebellious teenager in her second adolescence. No one would think she was a spy.
Ruth laughed again, "I couldn't tell, you're really nice! You're the nicest person I've ever met!"
Connor felt a bit skeptical, was this a compliment?

"You go to sleep. I'll watch Natalie. I have to work during the day, so I'll leave things here to you again."
Ruth readily agreed, grabbed a blanket, and stretched out on the living room sofa, quickly falling asleep.
