Connor was startled and hurriedly supported him: "The King! Someone! The King is not well!"
The King struggled to open his eyes and uttered a sentence: "Don't make such a fuss, as if I'm about to die!"
Connor looked at his face as pale as gold paper, with blood at the corners of his lips, almost rolling his eyes: "Isn't it true?"
Fortunately, these past few days of etiquette lessons have been fruitful; a Prince must not roll his eyes and should always mind his demeanor and expression.
The guards and doctor quickly came in. Connor placed the King on the bed in the inner chamber, watched the doctor busy, and asked, "How is the King's condition?"
The doctor shook his head: "Not very good, Prince needs to prepare early."
Connor's mind went blank.
Prepare? Prepare for what?
When doctors say this, it usually means the person can't make it!
He remembers Johan Niles and Director Valley would say this to a family, meaning to prepare for the aftermath!
