After teasing, Natalie Niles finally walked over to Connor, raised her hand to touch his face, "Why didn't you apply some medicine? It's so red and swollen. Did you use a cold compress?"
Connor wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her into his embrace, "No, it's fine. I'm not afraid of pain."
Natalie's heart ached terribly. She had initially thought that Connor was a Prince, the King's own son, and at least his face would hold some dignity. She didn't expect that even his dignity wouldn't be spared.
He walks around the various palaces with this battered face, everyone can see how terribly he's been beaten. Is this an intentional way to torture him and put him in his place?
Anger surged in Natalie's heart. She wished she could go directly and kill that King!
"Who hit your face?"
Her tone was cold. You could tell she was grinding her teeth, eager to avenge him.
Connor suddenly laughed, his mood improved greatly, and even this cold palace seemed more pleasing to the eye.
