Zuo Hong sighed, "I've told you, we're just friends, ordinary friends, the kind of friends who don't even have each other's phone numbers."
"Then why are you shopping with her?"
"It's a task assigned by our boss."
Mrs. Zuo was stunned, "Your boss likes to play matchmaker too?"
After the shock came gratitude, "The boss is such a good person!"
Zuo Hong didn't want to say another word to her. He couldn't possibly tell her it was Zoe Lewis's request, or else his mom would go on and on about what a wonderful girl Zoe is.
He hurriedly ushered his mom out of the room, locked the door, took off his shirt, tossed it into the closet, and headed to the bathroom for a shower.
The next morning, he left the house early, not daring to admit he was going to accompany Zoe again. Zuo Hong fled from home as if he were escaping a disaster.
