So close, yet why does it feel as if there's a galaxy between us?

Tears flowed continuously, blurring Nan Wan's vision more and more. The warm liquid filled her eyes, and everything in front of her was magnified countless times.

By the time Mu Jin Huan reached her, she could only make out a hazy silhouette, but she could still discern that he was lifting his hand, intending to embrace her.

Her gaze remained fixed on him, but she took a small step back.

Like a fawn startled by a hunter's gunshot, afraid of any touch.

It was as if he had been punched hard; the pain in Mu Jin Huan's chest nearly suffocated him. His arm stiffened in the air for a second before returning to normal. His voice was soft and low, "Were you scared, hmm?"

Nan Wan continued to retreat, but her legs were stiff, each step only shifting a few centimeters, "…I'm, I'm a little dirty."

Her voice was inaudible, as if a gentle breeze would carry it away.
