Chapter 9 - 009: Error

The next morning, Cen Jin was woken up by Ms. Qin. As soon as she opened her eyes, she found that the room's lights were still on, and the clock on the cabinet barely pointed to eight o'clock.

After struggling in bed for about ten minutes, Cen Jin finally got up, turned off the light, and started her morning routine of washing and changing clothes.

When she went downstairs, the house was empty; Ms. Qin had already left for the store. A prepared breakfast was set on the dining table. Cen Jin pulled out a chair, took a few bites, then tidied the table and went back upstairs to apply a simple makeup. Carrying her bag, she left the house.

It was already half-past nine by the time she arrived at the studio. As she entered, she saw a familiar graceful silhouette sitting at the computer, propping her chin with one hand and holding a mouse with the other, browsing something. Cen Jin walked over and took off the bag from her shoulder and placed it on the table: "Ling Ran, what are you looking at?"

"Cen Jin, you're here, good morning." Ye Lingran sensed the shadow overhead, and lifted her gentle eyes, though her delicate features wore a tinge of melancholy and worry: "Director Liu from Dahua Factory just called me, saying there was a little mistake with the fabric we ordered. The workers got the sample wrong, and it might take ten days to half a month more to deliver it to me. This is the effect picture they just sent me, take a look."

Cen Jin leaned over, looking at the enlarged picture on the screen, her expression suddenly becoming serious: "This won't do, the difference from the fabric I wanted is too much. Now the wedding dress only lacks this piece of fabric, and we only have a week left, it's simply not enough time."

"What should we do now?" This studio was co-founded by her and Cen Jin, and she had always trusted Cen Jin's capability and calmness.

"Let's do this, Ling Ran, please make a trip to Dahua Factory to see if there's any quick remedy; I'll head to Ruiling Factory. We'll tackle this on both fronts." Cen Jin looked at the picture on the computer, contemplated for a while, and said, pressing her lips together, her gentle and pretty face looking very earnest and serious.

"Okay."

After discussing a plan with Ye Lingran, Cen Jin picked up her bag and left the studio, taking a taxi all the way to Ruiling Textile.

Because the order their studio took involved some special requirements for the wedding dress, Cen Jin was particularly careful in choosing the fabric. The style was also unique, with the inspiration for the design coming from a song, and the customer was very satisfied with her design.

Originally, she had expected the fabric in question to be delivered in about three days, which was why she took a break yesterday amidst her busy schedule, but she hadn't anticipated such a mishap.

After meeting with the workshop director, Cen Jin browsed through three large workshops but couldn't find a satisfactory substitute fabric. On the other hand, Ye Lingran called, saying she had done several experiments, but none matched the desired effect.

The differences in the fabric could completely affect the overall look and feel of the entire wedding dress.

"Thank you, Director Fan, it was really kind of you." Walking out of the workshop, reaching the factory gate, Cen Jin gave Director Fan a gracious smile and shook his hand lightly in a friendly manner.

"No need to thank me, Miss Nie."

"Director Fan, you can see me off here."

"Then take care, Miss Nie."

After leaving Ruilin Cloth Factory, it was already noon. Cen Jin returned to the studio to discuss the next steps with her colleague while having lunch with Ye Lingran.

Originally, Cen Jin thought about making some changes in the design, but after studying for an hour or two, none of the effects achieved what she wanted.
