"What did you say?" Lu Xize genuinely didn't hear this time. She was speaking quietly, and next to them were two other tables full of people, laughing and talking, especially lively.
"Nothing much." Yun Xi pouted, not planning on repeating herself, saving him the worry, as she picked up dishes from other plates and tossed them in.
"Going to get sauce?"
"Yeah."
"Want me to go with you, or you'll do it yourself?"
"I'll go myself, these things need to cook for a while anyway." Yun Xi stacked the empty plates onto a nearby rack, got up, and walked to the sauce area. She chose her usual flavor and returned to her seat, noticing that Lu Xize hadn't moved. She asked, "Aren't you going to get sauce?"
"I will."
"So you're just sitting here waiting for the sauce bowl to fly over to you?"
"Wasn't I waiting for you?"
"Waiting for me to get it for you?"
"What else?" He looked at the single sauce bowl in her hand, feigned disappointment, and shook his head, "It seems you've let me down."
