Silver: So let get this straight? You dived into the hivemind, Slept for hours, betrayed the hivemind and got souls of all our friends?
Sonic: Pretty much.
Silver: *annoyed grumbling* Somebody throw him in the incinerator.
Sonic: Wait! Listen to me, i- Ahhh
It turns out being thrown into a incinerator is not the best experience as Sonic had to warp away to save his metal hide from melting into cooked tar.
His freedom however was now a distant dream as Silver again grabbed him psychokinesis, hovering him above the incinerator.
Silver: Do you have any idea of how much destruction you caused? All the weeks of trust you have built is gone to bits.
Looking down on Sonic from high above, Silver Sent crashing down further away into a wall, creating a him sized dent.
Sonic: Will it pain you to trust me again? I got my proof damn it.
Silver: Hmm *in thought* Throw me the proof.
Sonic willingly threw the shard to Silver and then got pinned under a rubble of bent metal to make sure he can't move.
Silver on the other hand, Looked into the shard, trying to figure out what he meant he tried to infuse some chaos energy in it.
A burst energy erupted as Silver's conscious was pulled into the shard. Inside it was pure emptiness with nothing except a small hall but he had to see all the way through so he entered the hall.
Silver: T-Thisss. This can't be.
Silver saw with disbelief towards the dozens of people, his friends being frozen still in their places with strings attached to them that connected with a green sword in the middle.
Argus: So you must be the real silver, I am quite stunned that it was all fake but I guess things go and come as well.
Silver: A speaking sword? Who are you? *Tries to use psychokinesis but fails* How i-
Argus: This is a world inside the shard boy, without the authority from shard you have no power here, but I do.
Silver was then forced to ground where he felt himself being immobalized by a invisible force.
He looked around, Dozens of different weapons, sword, axes, you name it all aimed towards him.
Argus: Sonic told me to keep this place frozen in time until he says, so why don't you leave and save me some trouble?
The words spoken by argus felt more like a sentence than a request as Silver felt himself getting flung out of the Shard's space and back to his body.
Erupting into deep breaths, Silver returned to his body which was still standing as if the last five minutes never passed and that he had not moved a inch.
Sonic: You met him didn't you? So am i allowed to move or wh-
Silver: You won't be going anywhere. *Rubbing his forehead* Not until i convince the soldiers that was just you sleep walking or something.
Silver said his judgement and walked away along with petro.
Sonic: OI, PUT AWAY THIS RESTRAINS ATLEAST.

So it took Silver a whole day and half to repair and ship and convince them it was not the real Sonic, he also had to pay up from his own pockets for the medical services.
Exhausted and half-broke, Silver returned to the captain's room for a well deserved rest but.
Petro: Sire, Sir prowler is on the call.
Petro barges in with a laptop in-hand. Tails face could be seen on it.
Tails: Silver! I have great news! The experiment efficiency suddenly sky rocketed, I don't why but with the new speed it shouldn't take more than 2 weeks now.
Silver: About that. I kinda meet our friends.. in person.
Tails: *baffled face* You expect me to believe you meet people in a coma?
Silver: it's, complicated to say the least. You remember the shard experiments i suggested?
Tails: *nods* You mean something happened with that.. New Sonic?
Silver: Yes, he managed bring out the minds of most of our friends, I saw them in person.
Silence filled the room as both tails and Silver look at each other in a awkward situation, Tails had many questions but there was only one he could say without hesitation.
Tails: Are they okay? I mean alive and well?
Silver: I hope so, also I did kinda see another Sonic talking with another sally before I was kicked out by some sword.
Tails: *shrilled laughter*
Hearing the remark, Tails felt himself dying from laughter as he imagine silver getting kicked out by a sword, he even fell from his chair once before coming back to his serious face.
Tails: You? The veteran fleet general of New mobius kicked out by a sword? This will be going to my collection. *Brings out a laptop and takes notes*
Silver: *feeling frustrated* Can we act serious for once tails? We have more things to talk about.
Tails: Like?
Silver: *few seconds of silence* I need you to lend me some money.. The ship got messed up a lot because Sonic went feral for a few hours.
Ring
Petro: Um. The funds have arrived sire.
Tails: Anything else?
Silver: *sighs* You have been getting more and more annoying Tails. Just clean up the landing port Tommorow, I will be there soon.
Tails: You heard him Oringo, go reserve the seventh port in advance.

So after everything that happened, Sonic finally recieved a bit of his freedom back. Emphasis on 'bit' because he still had go around in prisoner jacket until the soldiers finally felt safe again.
Currently he was wandering around the upper deck while looking at the people running around below.
Eggman empire, or rather the Nexus territory as one would call it now was the most secure zone after the second wave and is now the highest population zone in Mobius and it's captial hub as well.
Sonic: This looks much better than years ago, I guess tails did renovate the heck out of this place after eggman went missing.
Standing on the deck above, The light filled city reminded Sonic of the Casino zone he went to a long time ago.
Feeling a wave of nostalgia wash over him, he felt his body or rather his emotions slowly returning including,
Sonic: *pinches himself* Oww.. I guess I am healing alright, I was the full metal a few days ago anyway. Kind of feel bad for shard now, that guy had always been a robot.
???: Thinking about the past?
From behind Sonic, Silver came floating in air with his signature captain's coat. Calmly moving forward he joined Sonic in his Nostalgia as they both look down at the city below.
Silver: Kind of ironic isn't it? The place where robots thrived was the only place safe from a virus that turns people into half robots.
Sonic: Kind of. *Chuckles slightly* I am sure that egg bastard would have loved it if could control the virus.
Silver: He would have turned himself into a robot the next day, That guy was pinnacle of obsession.
They both imagined a half metal eggman finally getting of his seat and walking around for first time in years, the thought was disturbing when they imagined the pressure on those skinny legs.
Silver & Sonic: Thank God that isn't real.
They both look at eachother for a second before bursting into laughter and went on to laugh for 10 mins straight until silver had a realisation.

Sonic: I am recovering, I can feel pain as well now.. well kind of a s-

Silver smacked Sonic without hesitation as payback for the damages he caused to the fleet and his pockets. Sonic on the other hand spun in air before landing head first like a boomrang.
Sonic: *getting up* WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT FOR?
Silver: Revenge for my pocket you dumb nut, I almost went broke because I had to pay for the damage you caused.
Sonic instantly went silent, sticking his tongue out in a "oops" expression before skedaddling away at max speed, leaving Silver behind.
Silver: *Remanencing about the past* I hope what you said was right tails. I truly hope. *Turns towards the escaping Sonic*
The rest of trip went rather smoothly as the fleet moved towards the docking port without much delay and soon landed on it.
The docking port was basically a transformed airport for fleets that had a huge many kilometres wide clearing for the ships to land on.
Silver's fleet was also not the only one as Sonic could see over dozens of ships albeit smaller ones from the top deck.
Looking down he could see people running around, Inserting giant plugs into the ships like charging a phone while far away there were people walking away with their bags
Sonic: I guess a airport will always be a airport, I hope they don't have metal detectors o- *suddenly begins floating* You can't be serious!
Silver came from behind with a bunch of soldiers walking behind him.
Silver: Dead serious, Now get into the cage or become one, Your choice.
Before Sonic even had a answer, Silver had already threw him into the cage filled with chains and restrictors but surprisingly it had no power.
Sonic found Silver winking at him and understood that this was just a cover for him to move around but it kinda sucked to be honest.
Sonic: Not like I have a say anyway, Let's just leave already.
Silver: If you say so. *Carries himself and Sonic away from the ship with psychokinesis*
