Chapter 150 - Chapter 150: My Child

Genma turned his head to the right. From the corner of his eye, he caught sight of a young man's face.

Messy black hair, a clean and striking face, sharp features—so close he could feel his presence.

A long black blade, as dark as night itself, rested silently against Genma's neck. Where the edge touched, a thin line of blood appeared.

Uchiha Yu crouched on the railing behind Genma, holding Dark Moon in a reverse grip with his left hand, his right hand pressing firmly on Genma's shoulder.

His Mangekyō eyes stared directly at Shikamaru and the others, utterly devoid of emotion.

"Uchiha Yu…"

Genma's face drained of all color. His body trembled as he whispered the name, his voice shaking.

At the same time, the senbon in his mouth shifted, twitching as he prepared to spit it toward Uchiha Yu's eye in a desperate sneak attack—hoping to buy time to escape.

But—

With a calm motion, Uchiha Yu slid his blade to the left. Dark Moon cut cleanly through Genma's throat as if it were nothing.

Crimson sprayed out.

Blood splattered across the wall.

"Kh… khhh—"

Genma's eyes bulged, veins bursting as he clutched his throat. He stumbled back a few steps before collapsing heavily against the rocky wall, lifeless.

"Bastard!" Raidō roared in both fear and fury. He leapt forward, pulling out a kunai from his pouch, slashing from the left at Uchiha Yu.

Iwaishi came from the right, fist swinging with crushing force.

Their teamwork was flawless.

Uchiha Yu's Mangekyō flickered, predicting both of their attack trajectories. His right hand snapped toward Bifū Raidō.

The kunai sliced through the gap between Uchiha Yu's middle and ring finger.

Clack—

Uchiha Yu's fingers clenched shut, locking tightly around Raidō's wrist. When Raidō tried to pull back instantly, he realized Uchiha Yu's strength was beyond comprehension—his arm was locked like it was caught in an iron vise.

"How could anyone have this kind of strength?!" Raidō's face froze in shock.

The next instant—

Uchiha Yu's body seemed boneless, flowing along Raidō's arm, twisting in midair to climb onto his back.

His right arm hooked under Raidō's jaw, wrenching it upward to expose the throat.

Every motion was seamless, like flowing water. His taijutsu carried close-combat grappling techniques foreign to this era.

Just as he locked in the hold, he slipped past Iwaishi's all-out punch.

Ssst—

The sound of blood spilling.

Uchiha Yu's left hand drew his black blade across Raidō's neck in a clean stroke—like a violinist drawing the bow with elegance.

He released the body. The black blade vanished into his storage space, then reappeared instantly in his right hand, flicking away the blood.

Swish—

Scarlet drops splattered across Kurama Yakumo's painting, staining it with a vivid red.

"Hhh—hhh—"

Raidō fell to his knees, clutching his throat with both hands until the choking pain robbed him of life. He collapsed beside his comrades.

With his back to Iwaishi, Uchiha Yu now faced Shikamaru and the others, who were huddled in terror. His eyes flashed scarlet.

Thump-thump-thump—

Iwaishi's heart pounded violently, each beat hammering his eardrums.

THUMP—

Until the final beat—his heart ruptured in his chest.

His face twisted in agony, blood pouring from his mouth as he collapsed lifeless beside Raidō.

The scene atop the guardrail now perfectly mirrored the vivid painting on Yakumo's canvas.

Drip—

Blood seeped from the painting onto the ground.

"Ahhh!!!"

Sakura and Ino shrieked, frozen in place, their screams marking the dreadful end of the brief battle.

The black blade dissolved like ash, from tip to hilt, fading into black smoke that twisted upward as though elated by bloodshed.

Uchiha Yu raised his head slowly, ignoring the wails around him, his scarlet gaze locked on the sky.

Two black shadows descended at blinding speed—only the Mangekyō could predict their landing.

"Uchiha Yu!!!"

The furious shout came as Hiruzen Sarutobi and Shimura Danzō struck down from above.

"Adamantine Prison Wall!"

As they landed, Hiruzen's jutsu activated.

Rumble—

Cracks split across the platform. Enma's transformed staff sprouted into countless bars, forming a square cage around Uchiha Yu, squeezing him into the center with no room to move.

Uchiha Yu glared coldly at the two elders.

Hiruzen's hands wove through seals then clapped together.

"You and I are both sinners, Uchiha Yu. Come with me—straight to hell!"

Hiruzen's voice dropped into a solemn chant:

"Reaper Death Seal!"

A chill swept over them. Wraithlike cries echoed in the air.

Behind Hiruzen, an enormous, ghastly Shinigami appeared—visible only to him. With fanged jaws gripping a dagger, prayer beads in hand, and a spectral soul floating before it, its white robe fluttered in the cold wind as ghostly flames burned around its body.

The Sarutobi clan was gone, erased. Hiruzen, brought back by Tobirama's Edo Tensei, had only one purpose left—vengeance.

"Uchiha Yu, if I had the chance to do it again, I would still order the Uchiha Massacre. But this time—" Hiruzen's face twisted with wrath—

"—I would make sure to erase you first!"

He finished speaking and tore off his clothes, revealing the chest marked with the Reverse Four Symbols Seal, then began forming hand signs.

Gradually, his abdomen turned into a black sphere, his entire body seeming to be swallowed by it. The sphere wasn't large, only about a meter in radius centered on him.

The original Reverse Four Symbols Seal required the caster to inscribe the seal upon themselves.

This jutsu could only be activated at the moment of death, with the caster forming seals using their own blood. Their body would then swell into a black sphere, sealing away everything within it.

But the Reverse Four Symbols Seal that Danzō now unleashed was a new variation developed by Tobirama in a short time—fusing the jutsu with Edo Tensei to create the New Reverse Four Symbols Seal.

Instead of blood as the medium, it relied on hand seals.

The cost was that the sealing range was reduced, but the caster could still move before being sealed. Anyone who touched the black sphere would still be dragged into it.

"..."

Uchiha Yu instantly recognized this as one of Tobirama's modifications.

After all, he was the man who could casually simplify the forty-four hand signs of the Water Dragon Bullet into just three.

In the blink of an eye, the arm of the Shinigami emerged from Hiruzen Sarutobi's stomach, grasping toward Uchiha Yu, while Danzō simultaneously leapt at him.

Two great sealing techniques.

Both aimed at him at once.

Even for a Kage, being caught in just one would mean certain death.

"How unfortunate—for as long as I'm here, you'll never get the chance!"

"Sealing techniques… is that all you take pride in? How utterly disappointing."

Uchiha Yu spoke calmly, his scarlet pupils suddenly blazing with light.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

The sharp, piercing sound of chains crashing rang out as five golden chains burst forth from behind him.

Hiruzen and Danzō's eyes widened in shock as they cried out together:

"Adamantine Sealing Chains!"

"How could he know this Uzumaki sealing technique?!" Danzō roared, but there was no time to dodge.

Swish!

Before the Shinigami's hand could seize Uchiha Yu, before Danzō could reach him, the golden chains split into three directions:

Two chains pierced Hiruzen's arms, forcibly breaking apart his hand seal.

Two chains stabbed into Danzō's abdomen, nailing him to the ground.

The two were instantly immobilized.

The last chain coiled around Uchiha Yu, plucking away each of Enma's extending staffs one by one, stripping them off until the Monkey King revealed his true form, then binding him tightly.

Whoosh—

The ghostly wind dispersed.

The Shinigami's shadow behind Hiruzen faded, as though it had never existed.

The shelter fell into dead silence.

Everyone's eyes were fixed on the battle above the platform, each harboring different emotions.

At this point in the fight, for the ordinary people, it no longer mattered who won or lost—what mattered was only when the war would finally end.

Hiruzen and Danzō raised their heads sharply, staring at Uchiha Yu before them. The chains tightened, binding them completely, leaving them writhing on the ground like worms.

This was a sealing strong enough to restrain the Nine-Tails—trapping two Edo Tensei shinobi was effortless.

Then, from the dark passageway behind Uchiha Yu, the sound of a woman's light footsteps echoed.

Hiruzen Sarutobi and Danzō saw clearly who had arrived—

it was a woman in a deep green maternity dress.

She had a slender figure, long red hair, and wore a fox mask with crimson flame patterns.

Hiruzen suddenly realized something. His expression grew grave, his breath became rapid, and he struggled to move—but it was useless.

The woman's pupils flashed red light, and the Yasakani seal carved upon her body faded away.

She stepped forward to face Hiruzen and Danzō, her voice trembling with grief as she spoke:

"Lord Third Hokage… I did not find my child in the shelter."

"He was born on October 10th, eight years ago. He's only eight years old this year."

"Minato and I entrusted him to you, hoping you would raise him well. If possible, I never wished for him to become a Jinchūriki."

"Please tell me, for the sake of the village—would you truly, at a critical moment, be willing to sacrifice him?"

As she spoke, the woman removed her fox mask, revealing Kushina's sorrowful face under Edo Tensei's pallor.

Her heart was filled with despair as she gazed at Hiruzen, who lay bound upon the ground.

In truth, the moment she didn't find Naruto, Kushina already knew the answer.

Forcing himself to calm, Hiruzen spoke in a low voice:

"Kushina, don't be deceived by that man. You and I are both inheritors of the Will of Fire!"

But sorrow flickered in Kushina's eyes.

Frowning tightly, Kushina said,

"You might believe him, but I only want to see Naruto now. To see my child… to hold him… to ask how he has been living all these years."

Hiruzen shouted:

"Naruto is in the Root base! Let's defeat Uchiha Yu together, and then you can reunite with your son!"

He was truly panicked now. Even if Uchiha Yu killed him ten thousand times, he could never truly die.

But an Edo Tensei body's greatest fear was sealing—especially when it came from the Uzumaki clan.

"In the Root base…" Kushina lowered her head, her voice hollow with disappointment.

"So you truly intend, at the moment of Konoha's fall, to sacrifice my child."

"No, Kushina—we only wanted… to protect Naruto better. To keep him, as a Jinchūriki, from being taken by Uchiha Yu!!"

Danzō quickly explained.

He too realized how terrifying Uzumaki sealing techniques were against an Edo Tensei body.

But Kushina only shook her head. She turned and silently walked past Uchiha Yu, coming to stand behind him without a word.

"The feeling of being betrayed by your faith… it's not pleasant," Uchiha Yu said with a sidelong glance at Kushina.

"I can promise you this: in the future, Naruto will be freed from being a Jinchūriki and restored to an ordinary life."

At those words, hope flared once more in Kushina's eyes.

When she raised her gaze to Uchiha Yu's back, she suddenly noticed the sky above blazing with orange-red light.

Everyone else looked upward as well.

At some point, the demonic, dark-purple form of the Complete Susanoo had changed. Its entire body armor had become a burning orange-red, and its tengu helm had undergone a total transformation.

It was as if divine majesty itself had descended upon the world.

The orange-red Complete Susanoo grasped the Totsuka Blade, now wreathed in flames, and drove it down from the heavens.

Boom—!

In that instant, the dark clouds above churned, lightning cracked, and thunder roared.

Hiruzen and Danzō raised their heads.

Within their black pupils, the flaming red light of the Totsuka Blade grew larger and larger—until the sealing fire engulfed them both completely.
