"Here, Lune," Kael said as he gave her a sharp metal rod for her to use to secure the tent.
"Thank you," she replied absent-mindedly.
Lune was caught lost in her thoughts since Blanc had left earlier.
I miss them all…
Father, Mothers, Valar, even Sera, and that says a lot.
I wonder how they are doing.
Are they sad? Do they miss us as much as we miss them?
Have they eaten properly? Have they lost weight?
When will I see them again, I wonder…
I promise Vita that I will hug them all and not let go for a while.
Sera, too, I will hug her and apologize if I ever made her angry.
But she has a fiancé now, so that may not be possible now.
I hope he treats her well, even though Brother Blanc seems to hate his guts.
I wonder why that is…
"Lune," Kael muttered.
Her fiancé is a good-looking man, so perhaps she is happy after all, since she always wanted to get married more than anything.
"Lune," Kael said out loud, pulling Lune out of her thoughts.
"Hmm?" Lune jumped, surprised by the suddenness of Kael's words.
"Were you able to place the rod properly?" Kael asked.
"Mhm, I did. Look," she replied, moving aside to show off her work.
Kael sighed, approaching her, when with a small pull at her part of the tent, the rod got free from the ground, falling a foot away from them.
"Proper indeed," Kael said, looking at her, "What's got you so out of it?"
"Nothing, I swear I thought I placed it well," Lune replied defensively.
"Everything all right?" Celine approached.
"Sister Celine," Lune acknowledged Celine as she approached, "Yes, everything is well."
"Do you need our help?" Celine asked, "We are done with ours."
"Please, sister Celine," Kael spoke in Lune's stead, "It seems too difficult for us still."
"Very well," Celine replied, a warm smile to the two, before she turned around, "Miyanna, dear, come help me with their tent."
"Okay," Miyanna replied as she was looking through her bag for something.
"Kael, Lune, you two rest for now. Once we are done with your tent and place your stuff inside, go enjoy the water," Celine instructed.
"Thank you," said the twins in unison.
"You are very welcome," Celine replied, a wide grin on her face.
And as Lune and Kael lay down on the dirt below, Lune's thoughts overtook her mind again.
Blanc's wives are so nice to us…
And even their relationship with Blanc is very good.
I don't even remember Father and Mothers' relationship being this strong, and they barely met.
Well, Brother Blanc is good, to them and us.
Even now, most of what he does, he does for others.
He thinks he can hide that from us, but he is bad at it.
Sometimes he is so bad at hiding it, Kael and I wonder if it's on purpose, as if telling us, 'Look what I'm doing for you two,' but that can't be.
Blanc is good.
The best brother we have.
The one who took care of us for so long, even back home.
I feel bad that I can't do more for him, and actually get in his way…
I will get stronger, and stronger, and stronger, and then I will be the one protecting all our family, even Blanc's kids, if he has more.
Until then, I am content with seeing his smile as he talks with us or his wives.
And they are pretty too.
Way too pretty.
But he deserves them.
Blanc deserves the world.
"It's done," Celine said after summoning their bed out of the marble artifact.
"Thank you, sister Celine, sister Miyanna," Kael bowed slightly after rising to his feet.
"Oh, stop it, Kael, we are in a rainforest, not the imperial castle, and we are family, we can do at least this much," Celine giggled, waving the bow away.
"Y-Yeah," Miyanna muttered, taken aback by Kael's bow, "You're welcome."
"Put your things inside and go and cool off in the pool. Blanc should have cleaned the surrounding area already, and the pool's water should be clear of any blood," Celine explained.
"What will you two do, sisters?" Lune asked as she grabbed her bag.
"Chat and watch over you, do not worry about us, and go enjoy yourselves, you two deserve it," Celine replied.
"The water is not that deep from what I've seen, perfect for relaxing," Miyanna added.
"Then we will do just that," Kael nodded, grabbing his bag as he and Lune went inside their tent.
As they began changing inside the tent in light clothes, so as not to go in naked with the sun still up, ashamed of being seen by Celine, Miyanna, or Blanc, Lune noticed the beginning of her scar on her upper body that started near the right side of her hip.
The one that the Moroi gave her days before they left the cave.
It looked ugly. She did not have to pull her shirt higher to look further up her skin.
She stared at this scar almost every night.
She was a lady of Noble Blood, and unfortunately, her body was not only her own, as her family would most likely decide who she marries… if they get reunited, that is.
But, to Lune, as a warrior of the sword, as the sword was her favorite weapon to train with, she knew that scars would be a part of her.
And no matter how much she hated it, she found herself grinning sometimes.
She bore this scar from a Moroi, and she still lived to witness its horror and greatness.
That was Lune's duality when it came to this scar.
Her heart, as a lady of Noble Blood, hated the scar, while her soul, as an aspiring warrior, bore it with pride.
"Are you ready, Lune?" Kael asked as he went towards the exit of their tent.
"I am," she nodded, turning on her heels towards him, "Let's go enjoy the water."
And with that, they were out of the tent, towards the pool a hundred feet away from them.
