It was a fool's dream to think that the sound of a bear crashing to the ground would not wake everyone up.
As Celine, Miyanna, Kael, and Lune ran out of their tents, lightly dressed and with weapons in hand, all they saw was Allegra passed out on the ground, with blood flowing out of her shoulder, and Blanc with a knife in his hand.
"My love?" Celine asked, confused.
Blanc sighed, "She was crawling towards us in her bear form, and I attacked her."
"For fuck's sake," Miyanna muttered, sheathing her sword, "Where are the rest?"
"It's only her," Blanc replied, shaking his head, "I hear nothing approaching."
"What time is it, brother?" Kael asked, still in the sleep's grasp.
Blanc chuckled as he cleaned his knife of Allegra's blood. "Still a few hours until the sun rises. Go back to sleep, you two. We'll take care of things here and wake you when breakfast is ready."
"Are you sure?" Lune wondered, "We can help."
"I'm sure, Little Flower," Blanc nodded, "Nothing for you to do here."
And with that confirmation, the twins went back inside their tent and went to bed before sleep left their bodies for good.
Celine came next to Blanc, "Tell me everything about how it happened."
And with a nod, Blanc told his wives what he did after they fell asleep, up until the moment Allegra crashed to the ground.
Lucky for him, he did not lie but also showed the jaguar pelts as proof.
One would wonder why he was lucky.
Because his wives' eyes, even though it was for different reasons, had a serious look on their faces as they heard his story.
"Is there anything else you did not tell us, my love?" Celine asked, her eyes looking at every move Blanc made.
"I told you everything, nothing was left out," Blanc concluded.
Celine stared for a few more moments before sighing, "So be it, you did well, my love. But now we must find out why she is here. Sister, help me bring her inside the tent and clean her wounds."
"Celine?" Miyanna muttered, "Why? Let's fucking throw her where she came from and be done with it."
"No, we won't do that. We need answers, and since she delivered herself right to our doorstep, I will not throw this chance away," Celine explained, crouching down and placing her hand below her shoulders, "Now, will you help me or not?"
"You are lucky you are too smart," Miyanna sighed, grabbing Allegra's feet.
"Am I not pretty as well?" Celine giggled.
Miyanna clicked her tongue, hearing Celine's question, "Yes… Yes, you are."
"Hehe, so are you, sister," Celine said, as they got Allegra up from the ground and started walking slowly towards the tent.
Blanc was a witness to their conversation, unsure of what to do next.
It felt weird seeing how Miyanna acted, how she wanted to discard Allegra without a second thought.
It reminded him of how he acted back at the cave, when they first met, and he wanted to kill her, just to be safe.
It was funny in one way, and scary in another.
However, he pushed those thoughts aside for now and decided to check if they needed him for something. "Is there anything else you need me to do?"
"Of course," Celine nodded, a playful grin on her face, "You can help put a sleeping bag on the ground and watch us undress her."
"Blanc!" Miyanna uttered, a slight pressure emanating from her back as she stopped moving.
"I- I-uh, I'll just place the sleeping bag and get to making breakfast, haha," Blanc stuttered, jogging past them and entering the tent.
"That's what I thought," Miyanna nodded as they walked slowly.
"Quite jealous, aren't we?" Celine giggled.
Miyanna raised her eyebrows at Celine's words, "You were mad as well earlier."
"Oh, that?" Celine asked as they entered the tent, "Not about what the same thing that you are, sister. I was worried her appearance might cause yet another issue with the Metamorphs."
"That's still a possibility," Miyanna stopped, waiting for Blanc to roll the sleeping bag.
"No, even if they come, I have a plan," Celine smiled. A smile that told Miyanna and Blanc only one thing.
And that was that Celine just found a new toy to play with.
Not Allegra, or the Metamorphs. But something to manipulate, something to plan, to uncover, and make it her own or to their advantage.
Truly a wife of Blood Denegis, and a frightening daughter of Blood Maroux.
After Allegra was placed on the sleeping bag, Blanc got to his feet and watched the wound he gave her.
However, a cold metal scratched his nape.
"Hubby," Miyanna said.
"Wife," Blanc replied, turning slightly, only to see Miyanna holding the curved sword to his neck.
"Didn't you say something about breakfast?" She asked, a warm smile on her lips, though the smile did not reach her bronze eyes as it should.
"Ah, yes, yes," Blanc muttered, taking a step back, "Thank you for reminding me."
"You're welcome," she answered, "Now go before I start carving pieces off of you."
"My wives are way too scary sometimes," Blanc sighed, saying that just loud enough for Celine and Miyanna to hear as he left the tent.
"Hm," Miyanna exhaled sharply, "I'll show you scary tonight."
"Now that does sound fun," Celine giggled, "But now help me with her clothes, and go tell Blanc to bring some water and something to wipe her blood with."
A minute later, when Blanc brought a bowl filled with water and a piece of clean cloth, and gave it to Miyanna without looking inside, they got to cleaning her wound.
Although Celine worried slightly that they would not have something to stitch her wound with or medicine to ensure the wound would not get infected, it swiftly became clear that they would not have to worry about it.
The white hair on Allegra's back began covering the now clean wound, stitching it shut.
"Impressive," Celine muttered, seeing it firsthand.
"Mmm," Allegra muttered as her eyes slowly blinked open, revealing those same crystal-white eyes they had seen before.
"Good morning," Celine smiled at her.
