Chapter 109 - Chapter 109: A Simple Morning

[3rd POV]

While the Justice League was freaking the hell out over Wanda and her actions against fellow members of the League, Wanda was back in the shop, sitting behind her counter with an amused expression on her face.

She had been watching the League freaking out, and found it to be hilarious. The fact that they had been completely ignoring Constantine and Zatara who had been warning them the entire time. Not to mention Doctor Fate who had been openly antagonistic with the League due to their actions.

Wanda found that most of the League was not pleased with the actions of the group that had caused all the problems in her shop. Which was...completely valid, considering they had potentially cut off the means to learning a LOT of new and completely unique knowledge.

Wanda wouldn't ban them permanently or anything, but they didn't know that. They expected her to completely stop them from entering ever again. But Wanda (while still very annoyed) was not going to ban all of them just because of the idiotic actions of the few.

She wasn't cruel enough to stop those that weren't involved from entering the shop. She actually liked Constantine, and she didn't mind Zatara at this point as the man seems to be on Constantine's side in terms of the situation.

They were both sick of the rest of the League bullshit and not listening to them. To the point that the two had even gone out to get a beer and complain about the arrogance and ignorance of the League itself.

Wanda didn't blame them at all.

The League had been really proving that they were very ignorant in their actions and what they do. Their belief that they were always right was becoming increasingly annoying for the two magic users who knew this was going to happen.

But none of that really mattered now that it was the next day. As Wanda sat behind her counter like usual, her regular shoppers walked through the store buying their books and pastries like nothing had happened.

"What happened yesterday, Mama?" Milim asked, having not found out about the event that occurred until just earlier that day. It was actually Ivy who had told her about it after finding out from Wanda herself.

"Some...heroes decided that they would try to attack one of the customers that came in here. I took care of them, but one of them decided to touch your brother, and I had to curse him in response" Wanda explained, with Milim frowning in response.

"Do I need to find that guy and beat him up? Cause he sounds like he deserves to get beaten up" Milim responded, causing Wanda to chuckle.

"No honey, I already took care of that man. He won't be harming us anymore, and he certainly will never return to this shop ever again" Wanda replied, waving off her concern regarding the event that had gone down.

If they tried anything again, then the entire league would have to be banned. And she would be forced to curse those involved with a far more nasty curse. The sort of curse that would make their lives living hells, far worse than what she had given Captain Atom.

"Fine, but if I see that guy again, I am going to punch him in the face and not softly, but hard enough to knock him out for days" Milim said with a grumble, wishing she was there so she could have laid the man out like he deserved.

"Alright, if he ever comes back I'll let you punch the snot out of him" Wanda responded with a giggle, amused with her daughter's protectiveness.

A few moments later, Naruto walked over.

"You talking about that mean guy from yesterday?" Naruto asked, which made them both nod.

"I'll join in. I'd love to beat the crap out of that asshole that decided to be so mean yesterday" Naruto added, grinning at the thought of punching the guy right in the face. Something he would certainly deserve.

"So what did you curse him with anyways?" Milim asked, interested to find out what she cursed the guy with. As she really hoped it was something serious so he wouldn't even have a chance to try anything again.

"I cursed with the inability to ever find love. Be it romantically speaking or in a familial matter. Nothing too crazy, but enough to make the man really regret his actions yesterday" Wanda responded, with Ivy who walked in a moment later to whistle.

"Damn that's brutal" Ivy said, as she began to take care of the plants in the shop. While she was also swapping out some of them for new plants she had created recently, which was a normal occurrence for her. Swapping them regularly so she can test the new plants and how they react to an environment like the shop.

"I wouldn't say it's brutal per say. I'd say it's a perfectly valid curse to place on the man after he decided to harm Naruto" Wanda responded to Ivy who just snorted.

"The man can't find love anymore after gripping your son's arm tightly. You might not realize it, but you are quite the mama bear. Not that I blame you for the curse or anything, the prick has always been a douche. There's a reason why he is at the bottom of all the popularity polls, even below Plastic Man, and that guys kind of an asshole too" Ivy replied with a deadpan, but changing that face halfway into her speech when she saw the look that Wanda was giving her.

"At least Mama didn't kill the guy" Milim responded looking on the "Brightside" which to be fair wasn't a brightside to her. She wanted the guy dead.

"That's not really a high bar, Milim. Not killing someone isn't too difficult" Ivy replied with another deadpan, finding that this family seemed to be kind of nuts. And the longer she interacted with them the more she realized that fact.

"It is when the guy that you want to kill thinks he has the right to touch your son" Wanda said with a scowl on her face even thinking about Captain Atom, wondering if she should give him an even worse curse.

"She has a point" Raven said as she walked in, beginning to put away some of the books, finding that most of them were the new ones that Wanda had picked up recently.

"Where were you at?" Ivy asked, having not seen Raven in a little while now.

"Practicing my usage of Aura. Ever since I've unlocked it I've been training on how to have it active at all times. It's surprisingly difficult" Raven responded, as she put another book onto the shelf.

"It's only difficult because you are not from that multiverse. Learning new power systems is harder for those that aren't born inside the multiverse that they hail from" Wanda answered her question that was about to come up soon.

"...That makes sense I suppose. I must ask, is it possible for me to develop a semblance, or is that not possible because I am not from that multiverse?" Raven asked, looking over at Wanda who was pricing the new books she needed put away.

"Hmmm, well, not everyone can even develop a semblance. Some people are inherently unable to. But for you I'd assume so. But it only develops in certain situations mattering on the semblance itself. But most commonly they develop in times of great stress, or after a lot of training. So if you just keep going how you are, I'd say you'll unlock it" Wanda responded, humming.

She hadn't awoken her semblance yet either, and she doubted she would for a long time. As her semblance is literally a representative of her very soul, so it likely will be FAR stronger than any other semblance in creation.

She was quite interested in what her semblance even was going to be. The semblance itself had to be related to her very being, but what that was going to be was what she was very interested in learning.

She hoped it was something that would help her gain even more control over possibility or something like that.

Something new, basically.

"Interesting. How did you learn of all of this?" Raven asked, curious.

"I can connect to the Akashic records, Raven. Which holds all knowledge from throughout all of creation, from every multiverse and every omniverse" Wanda explained.

"Ah, so you read it in a book" Raven said with a nod, understanding what she was actually saying, the others nodding to her words.

"Yes, yes I read it in a book" Wanda replied, pouting slightly as they all giggled at her expense. All the while, Wanda was inwardly smiling, one thought on her mind.

'Good...yesterdays events are already behind us. And hopefully...it stays that way'
