Chapter 247 - Chapter 247: New Gods Visit

[3rd POV]

The day had passed without much of a fuss, with Wanda mostly just having her regular customers coming in, as well as some new customers that were not all that interesting. They were fun to interact with though, as most of them were actually adventurers, and even some orphans from Orario who had heard of the shop.

Some of Loki's familia had returned to the shop, but only to get some books, and to stock up on a lot more wine for their Goddess. They had been pretty tense the entire time, so Wanda was pretty sure that she had warned them about her and how strong she was.

Or perhaps someone else? Loki was no longer the only Goddess that knew about her existence, not anymore.

This was mostly because Hephaestus and Hestia had both been warning some of their friends about her, and those friends would warn their's, so on so forth. Now the entirety of Orario knew that Wanda's shop was home to a Primordial that did not have her power bound, and was unbothered by the presence of the Gods, and the other Primordial in the city.

So none dared to make her mad. That, and they soon found that her shop had tons of incredible books that made it more than worth it to treat her with respect and kindness. As each of her magic books were well beyond any normal grimoire, and was something that anyone who could use magic was capable of learning.

Due to this, not a single God or Goddess wants to make her mad, because the use of the store was beyond the terror that she might inflict upon them.

Thanks to this, Wanda had a pretty decent time with the various adventurers that had been entering the shop, since not a single one of them had caused any problems for her, which was quite nice. As in most other universes, she would have gotten at least one annoying customer.

But not this one.

Beyond the customers from Danmachi, she had gotten a couple of new ones from PJO that had been pretty interesting.

Mostly Gods, actually.

She had been getting more and more Gods to visit her shop, probably because of Hecate and Athena. Or perhaps because of something else, she was not entirely sure. She could find out, but that would be boring.

The Gods she had that came in were pretty interesting.

She had three visitors that were Gods.

Hephaestus, from the Percy Jackson World.

Artemis, from the Percy Jackson World.

And Demeter from that same universe.

Hephaestus had come in after seeing some of the new books that Athena had gotten, and after hearing about the things his demigod children had been making with the new books they got from her shop.

He had tried to get Athena to share her books, but she denied him, so he went to Wanda. He ended up buying every single book on forging, engineering, and anything even remotely in that area. In return, he had given her many of his own books on the areas, all of which she did not already have.

So it was a fair trade, especially when he had shown her that some of them were actually from other pantheons. Like one that was from the Shinto Pantheon from Japan, and a Norse book authored by Odin himself.

She had a feeling he would be a regular customer of hers.

Artemis had come in after hearing about her shop from Athena, and after seeing some of the books that she had gotten from them. She had gone there for a few other reasons, but mostly involving what she did as a Goddess.

She got tons of books on hunting, different creatures and their habits, and some books on how to raise children, especially girls. Wanda was pretty sure that this was because of her hunters basically being her children that she watches over and all but raises in the case of the younger members.

She in return had given Wanda some of her own books she had personally authored, or had gotten from other Gods or Goddesses of the hunt. They were pretty interesting books that Wanda was pretty confident Milim would like.

If she actuallly liked to read.

Demeter had been the final guest, and probably the most interesting. She was also easily the kindest of the three, at least to Wanda. Of the three, Hephaestus was her favorite. Because he actually cared quite a lot about his children, and had not done nearly as many terrible things as Artemis and Demeter.

Annnyways.

Demeter had come in for the books she had on farming, agriculture, and...cereal. She really, really really liked cereal. And she ended up buying a book on every type of cereal that had ever been documented on any book in Wanda's shop. This meant that she knew of many new cereals, including magical ones that have rather interesting effects, and some other...curious ones.

Demeter had been pretty insistent on this book after hearing that Wanda knew of new cereals. As it had something to do with Demeter's domain and her connection to it, which made her REALLY want to learn about the new and interesting cereals that Wanda had heard of.

Wanda hadn't really understood her excitement when she saw the book, but she did it either way. As in return, she had gotten dozens of new books on all sorts of interesting things. Not just in agriculture, seasons, farming, and all other things related to or involving Demeter's domains.

It was a good trade, she decided.

Besides the three Gods, Wanda had gotten word from each of them that Zeus had been growing increasingly interested in the shop and personally visiting. From their own words, it sounded like the man was fearful of her existence, and basically wanted to make sure she wouldn't snap them out of existence for annoying over something their kids do.

That and she imagined that his domains were a part of the reason why he would come, as there were plenty of books that he would be interested in. But that was the case for pretty much every God or Goddess out there.

Many of them would go to war over the books in her collection.

All in all, Wanda was pretty happy with the new customers that she had gotten over the course of the day. All in preparation for the date with Death, which was now going to be starting in the next few minutes.

Which is why Wanda was standing in her shop, the closed sign glowing as she waited for Death to come. She was dressed casually in this case, as Death had told her to not dress up fancy or anything like that. Meaning that they were thankfully not doing anything too fancy or over the top like a huge party or dinner.

Wanda would not have been a fan of that. But it would seem that Death either didn't like that either, or she had a plan beforehand that would need her to not be super dressed up.

She was really curious to find out in the next few minutes.

And while standing there, Wanda had only one thought on her mind.

'Please let this date be as good as the first one'
