Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: Doflamingo's Help!

Chapter 13: Doflamingo's Help!

North Blue, Spider Miles Island.

This was a port town filled with stone buildings, stone slabs, and chimneys, perpetually shrouded in greyish-white smoke. The people on the Island primarily made a living by developing heavy industry, so the beach was piled high with industrial waste.

Years ago, Doflamingo had chosen this place and stationed himself here with Vergo, Trebol, Pica, and Diamante.

This was because the existing equipment and workers allowed them to mass-produce the Firearms, Grenades, and other Weapons they needed, which they would then sell to the various Kingdoms in the North Blue.

In the past year, as the family's reputation grew, their business and influence had tentatively begun to spread towards the Grand Line.

Everything seemed to be going smoothly, but today, Doflamingo, who had just turned seventeen, received news that infuriated him.

Vergo, also seventeen this year, walked into the room and said in a deep voice to Doflamingo on the red sofa, "Doflamingo, something happened on Black Island!"

"Another idiot causing trouble?"

"Aren't Zhermu and Aierluo over there? Just have them take care of it," Doflamingo replied softly, lying on the sofa with his eyes closed.

"The troublemaker is Douglas Bullet, a former Crewmate of the Pirate King Gol D. Roger's Pirate Crew, nicknamed 'Devil's Heir'," Vergo continued to explain the situation without changing his expression. "As for Zhermu and the others, they should have been taken care of. I just called the Transponder Snail again, and no one answered."

"Hmm?!"

Hearing Bullet's name, Doflamingo suddenly opened his eyes, his sharp gaze fixed forward. He said, "It's actually him. I can't believe we're so unlucky to run into such a jinx. It seems Black Island is completely finished."

Of course, he had heard about Bullet's recent rampage and slaughter in the Grand Line, but now that he had actually encountered it, honestly, it was very unpleasant.

Black Island was the first business point he had established in the Grand Line. He had originally planned to use it as a transit station to expand the family's trade and influence.

Now that this incident had occurred, he knew that their push into the Grand Line would have to wait a few years, because in the Underworld, failures are rarely recognized.

Since Black Island flew the Donquixote Family flag, its destruction by someone else was a failure. Therefore, they had to wait for the impact of this incident to fade with time, and at the same time, their own strength needed to become greater.

"Should I take some people there?" Vergo asked.

In his opinion, although Bullet was a former Crewmate of Roger's Pirate Crew, he was only twenty-one years old. Although he was four years older than himself, if he brought a few Cadres, they should be able to deal with him together.

"No."

Doflamingo shook his head, rejecting the suggestion, and grinned sinisterly, "We don't need to make a move. This monster is causing too much of a stir; someone will deal with him. We just need to provide a little help, Fufufufufu."

Vergo listened to Doflamingo's continuous laughter, not understanding why.

Grand Line, the sea area near the middle of Route 4. A Warship adorned with a Dog Head Decoration led four surrounding standard Warships, sailing slowly in formation on the sea.

A series of rapid Footsteps sounded. A Colonel wearing a Coat of Justice walked quickly out of the cabin, then stood at attention and saluted. Under the gaze of Rear Admiral Bogart, his adjutant standing nearby, he reported loudly to the tall figure with his back turned to him.

"Reporting, Vice Admiral Garp, we just received Intelligence from CP5! Douglas Bullet's location has been confirmed!"

Garp turned around upon hearing this, laughing with delight.

"Hahahaha, is that so? Have we finally found him? The Cipher Pol brats have been doing well lately!"

He had been tracking Bullet for the past few days, but every time he arrived at the scene of an attack, the person was nowhere to be seen. After all, Bullet was fighting alone, and his mobility was definitely faster than a fleet.

Now it was good; CP5 must be tracking Bullet, which gave them a chance to intercept him!

"Then what are we waiting for? Full speed ahead!" Garp ordered loudly.

"Yes, Vice Admiral!" The Colonel heard the order and quickly turned and ran back into the cabin.

Not long after, all the ships turned in unison and sailed quickly towards Route 4, arriving at Black Island after about two and a half days.

"What did CP5 say? Is that kid still here?" Garp asked, looking at the black dot gradually appearing on the horizon. The Colonel behind him immediately replied, "Yes, after Bullet killed everyone on the Island, it seems he plans to rest there for a few days."

"Rest?"

Garp curled his lip.

"I think he's deliberately waiting for us. He knows he's gone too far recently, and the Marines will definitely deal with him, so he found an Island to recover his strength. But that kid definitely didn't expect this old man to come personally. Later, I'll definitely give him a few hard punches; it'll be like teaching that damn Crewmate a lesson on behalf of Roger!"

He was right. On Black Island, Bullet was standing on a small hill, gazing at the five Marine Headquarters Warships approaching.

At his feet were ruined buildings and corpses with horrific death poses. Large areas of Blood flowed everywhere, and the smell of scorched earth and Blood was extremely strong in the air, unable to be blown away even by the sea breeze from the dilapidated Port.

However, his keen Sixth Sense made his heart pound with unease. But he had fully recovered by now, and his physical strength had long returned to its optimal state.

Now, even if he encountered a Marine Admiral, he would dare to charge at them head-on!

Ever since he witnessed Gol D. Roger's public Execution at Marineford, Bullet felt that his life had lost its purpose and pursuit. There was no one left in this World worth challenging for a lifetime. With his terrifying talent, apart from Roger, those other big figures were all incompetent people who would be surpassed by him in just a few years.

And this time, he was deliberately waiting for the Marines to come. Since Roger died at the hands of the Marines, he felt he should at least sink a few Warships and slaughter tens of thousands of Marines!

If he really encountered a Marine Admiral, hmph, he felt he wasn't without a chance to defeat them...
