Chapter 78 - Chapter 77: Team Rocket’s First Elite Member!

"Thank you for your hard work today, Beedrill, Milotic."

Renjiro stood in his living room, the warm glow of evening casting long shadows across the floor. With a soft smile, he released Beedrill and Milotic from their Poké Balls.

Both Pokémon appeared visibly tired, their bodies marked by the day's grueling battles. Without hesitation, Renjiro activated his Evergreen Power, channeling soothing energy toward his loyal companions to heal their wounds.

Milotic lowered her elegant head, eyes glistening with regret.

"Mei…mei…" (Sorry, Renjiro.)

Her soft cry was filled with remorse.

"Don't take it personally, Milotic," Renjiro said gently, crouching to stroke her smooth scales. "I don't blame you at all. The opponent's level was far higher. You did your very best—and I'm proud of you."

Milotic raised her head slightly at his words, a flicker of determination returning to her eyes.

"Meimei~!" (I won't lose again!)

She basked in Renjiro's comforting touch, her spirit reignited.

"Yes. Let's keep pushing forward together!" Renjiro smiled, his heart swelling with admiration for his Pokémon's resolve.

Once both Beedrill and Milotic were restored to health, Renjiro took a deep breath. It was time to take the next step.

The Rockets team he commanded now was little more than a disorganized band of small-time grunts. What they lacked, more than anything, was a powerful, experienced trainer to serve as their pillar.

Tonight, he would change that.

But first, he had a question.

"System, tell me—what about the loyalty of the characters I summon? If I summon someone powerful, how do I know they won't betray me? What if they try to take me down themselves?"

This was, after all, his first time summoning a human ally. It paid to be cautious.

A mechanical voice echoed crisply in his mind:

"Ding. The initial loyalty of a summoned character is 100 (full value). Thereafter, their continued loyalty will depend on the host's personal charm and leadership. Note: All summoned characters possess independent thoughts."

Renjiro absorbed this information thoughtfully.

"They have independent thoughts… that's not a bad thing."

He smirked slightly. He had confidence in himself. If he couldn't win loyalty through strength alone, then he would through his will, his vision, and his actions.

Without further delay, Renjiro gave the command.

"System—start summoning a Team Rocket member!"

In front of him, a virtual screen materialized, glowing softly in the dim light. Hundreds of character portraits lined the interface. At the bottom, a single button pulsed invitingly: Start.

Renjiro's eyes widened.

"What the—Maxie? Archie? Even Cyrus and Ghetsis?! What are they doing here?!"

Shock ran through him. He hadn't expected to see infamous leaders of other regions' villainous teams among the possible summons.

"Could this system mean Team Rainbow Rocket rather than just ordinary Team Rocket?"

A cold sweat broke out on his brow. If he drew someone like Maxie, Archie, or Cyrus, would he be able to control them? They were not ordinary subordinates. Their ambitions were monstrous. Without Giovanni's sheer dominance, those kinds of figures would never willingly follow a weaker leader.

"Even if the odds are slim… I need to be careful. Drawing one of them could mean creating my own worst enemy."

Renjiro hesitated. For thirty long minutes, he weighed the risk. The team desperately needed strength—but not at the cost of inviting chaos into its ranks.

Finally, with a deep breath, he pressed the button.

The portraits blurred as a selection box flashed back and forth rapidly across the grid.

"Please, let it be someone strong and loyal… someone I can count on…"

The box slowed. It stopped.

"Ding. This time, you drew Team Rocket Executive Sabrina! Shall we begin the summoning?"

For a heartbeat, Renjiro couldn't believe his eyes.

"Sabrina… I actually drew Sabrina!"

Of all the possible names, he had pulled one of the most powerful—and least problematic. Saffron City's Sabrina, one of Team Rocket's top Executives in certain regions, was known for her overwhelming psychic strength and unmatched partnership with Psychic-type Pokémon.

Unlike power-hungry leaders like Maxie or Cyrus, Sabrina's loyalty wasn't driven by blind ambition.

"Summon! Summon now!" Renjiro said eagerly.

The air shimmered as a white vortex formed in his room. From it stepped a tall, confident woman.

Renjiro's breath hitched.

"Sabrina… the Sabrina who became an actor for several years…"

She was striking—mature and composed. Sabrina wore a pink halter top that bared her toned midriff, paired with crisp white jeans. Her light blue hair cascaded over her shoulders in soft waves. On her left wrist, a Mage's Bracelet glinted, signaling her ability to Mega Evolve her Pokémon.

A wave of energy radiated from her as she surveyed her surroundings.

A translucent window appeared before Renjiro's eyes:

---

Name: Sabrina

Organization: Team Rocket

Age: 21

Strength: Elite

Pokémon: Alakazam, Mr. Mime, Venomoth

Special Ability: Psychic (her powers rival those of her Pokémon)

Hobbies: Acting

---

"Elite level…!" Renjiro's heart pounded.

He hadn't expected this. In the special episodes and games he knew, Sabrina's strength had been formidable—but not at the Elite level. Yet here she was, standing before him stronger than ever.

At last, Team Rocket had gained its first Elite-level member.

"Welcome, Sabrina."

Renjiro stepped forward, offering his hand.

Sabrina's piercing gaze softened slightly as she reached out, her fingertips brushing his palm.

"So… you're the new leader of Team Rocket? I am at your service, Mr. Renjiro."

Renjiro nodded.

"Yes. And I'm glad to have you with us. There's much to do."

"Sabrina, before anything else, I want you to learn about this world. It differs from the one you knew."

Without hesitation, he set up the computer and connected her to the internet.

"Understood," Sabrina replied simply, settling before the screen.

For the next half hour, she scrolled through pages of history, culture, and Pokémon research.

Finally, she leaned back, a faint smile of amusement on her lips.

"What a backward world. They don't even understand Mega Evolution…"

Renjiro chuckled.

"Yes. Pokémon research here lags far behind. But that means opportunity. It's the perfect moment for Team Rocket to rise again."

Her interest sharpened at his words.

"I see. And you intend to be the one to lead that rise. I like that ambition, Mr. Renjiro."

"I'll need your help to achieve it. Our team is small right now—untrained and lacking experience. I need you to train them. Help them grow strong, quickly."

Sabrina's smile turned playful.

"Training the next generation of Rocket members? That sounds… fun."

"I'm counting on you."

"Consider it done."

After Renjiro gave her the details and directed her to Warehouse Area No. 8, Sabrina prepared to leave.

But before she stepped out, she turned back.

"One more thing, Mr. Renjiro… You'll need to raise your own strength quickly. Otherwise, your team may begin to doubt you."

Renjiro smirked, his eyes filled with quiet confidence.

"Don't worry. Within the year, I'll surpass even you."

Sabrina laughed softly, brushing her hair from her face.

"I'm looking forward to that."

With that, she strode out, bound for the warehouse where Zhang Xuewei's group was enduring Nidoking and Nidoqueen's relentless training. Little did they know, their real challenge was only just beginning.
