It's a bright and early morning, the chrisp and chilly autumn breeze is felt throughout Tokyo, its the first day of High School for Kaji Yashida, who happens to have just transferred from Osaka, Japan to Tokyo, Japan. With new faces and new opportunities on the horizon, a bright and vibrant future is ahead, and new friends to make too!
(Kajis mother opens his door slightly) "Hey, you're gonna be late, Kaji!" Kaji's mother, Tomo says, Kaji groans and slowly gets up. "Ugh.. I'm up, I'm up.." Kaji says, with a slight tone of sleepiness, he gets dressed into his outfit, and walks out the door after indulging in some breakfast, he puts his headphones on and puts on his favorite song, he walks for a while, getting lost in his thoughts. "Damn.. I'm Hella nervous.. from what the reviews say, this school is no joke.. but at least it's better than being picked on every damn minute.. I wonder if I'm the only new kid so far..?" Kaji says, he walks for a bit but suddenly, a small and petite figure with pink hair runs by him, and a small white object falls from her hoodie pocket. Kaji notices the white object on the ground, and leans his arm down and picks it up. He walks towards the girl. "Uhm.. excuse me, i uh.. i think you dropped this..!" Kaji says shyly, The girl turns her head back curiously and blushes as she notices the object in his hands. "I-I'm so sorry..! I uh.. i dropped my pad...." the girl says, embarrassed. "Oh, um.." Kaji looks at the object. " what do you mean pad? Like a notebook?.." Kaji asks, cluelessly. The girl giggles and covers her mouth with her hand momentarily. "No, dummy... That's a pad for my period.." the girl says. "O-oh.." Kaji says, as he hands her the pad, with embarrassment on his face. Kaji puts his hands in his pockets, clearly embarrassed. "Oh!, i havent seen you around here before.." she says. "I'm Ami, Ami Harashi!" The girl says, who is named Ami. "Hey there.. uh.. I'm Kaji, Kaji Yashida.." Kaji says, Ami reaches her hand out and they shake hands and then walk together. "So, you're new huh? What school you heading to?" Ami says. "Well, I'm headed to Sakura Bay High School." Kaji says. "Oh, no way! I go there as well! What grade are you in?" Ami says. "I'm a freshman.." Kaji says. "Ooh! Looks like we're in the same grade! Don't worry, it isn't too bad, everyone's pretty chill, it's a small school so everyone mainly gets along.. there is a few bad individuals, but don't worry, you'll be safe!" Ami says as she giggles. "Ah.. I see.. well, it's good that we're in the same grade.. I am kinda nervous.." Kaji says. "Oh, it's okay! It's completely natural! Besides, Osaka is very different from Tokyo, so it's a big change, don't worry, I'll help ya get the hang of it!" Ami says as she smiles, the two walk together, underneath the bright rising sun and the crisp autumn breeze. "So, Kaji, what do you like to do? Like your hobbies?" Ami asks. "Hmm.. well, I'm a pretty lame guy.. I like to play video games every so often, I love to play my guitar, and I also love to listen to music.." Kaji says. "Hmm.. interesting! What kinda music do you like?" Ami asks. "Well, I like the oldies, I love Funk and Synthwave! I really love artists like Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder." Kaji says. "Ooh! Not bad, MJ really had the world in his hands huh? But yeah, not bad choices at all! The 80s definitely seem to be a great time!" Ami says. "Yeah, the 80s seem like a good time to be alive in, the music is great, the vibe was amazing, and the entertainment seemed cool too, with the dawn of video games taking place, I wish I was alive, what kinda music do you like?" Kaji asks. "Well.. I love Rock, something about those electric guitars and the drums really gets me going!" Ami says excitedly. "Hmm.. if I were to base your music taste off your appearance, I wouldn't have expected you to be a big fan of rock.." Kaji says. "Yeah, I get that alot, a small and bubbly girl like me would probably like K-pop or something, I do like giving off that illusion though!" Ami says and laughs. They walk to the school together, and they reach the main entrance. "Welp.. looks like we're here!" Ami says, Kaji looks visibly nervous."Oh, it's gonna be okay, Kaji, I promise!" Ami says, with a tone of reassurance. "Kaji sighs and smiles a little. "Yeah, I'm not really good with big crowds or people in general.. I have social anxiety.." Kaji says. "Yeah.. I get that, don't worry, I'll be there for ya! We're friends after all!" Ami says, with a smile on her face, Kaji calms down and looks at the school, they walk inside and Kaji is taken to the office for his ID, and his class number and schedule, he walk to the main lobby and sees a girl walk past him. "Damn.. she's pretty.." Kaji says. "Huh? Her? I dunno man, she is pretty scary, her name is Akumi, also known as the cruel angel, she has eyes of an angel.. but looks can be deceiving.. she HATES guys, dude!" A guy says, Ami walks to Kaji. "Yeah, Akumi is not one to mess with.. I'd think twice before talking to her.." Ami says. "Ehh, she can't be THAT bad.." Kaji says, he fixes his shirt and walk to Akumi, and he speaks. "H-hey..! I'm Kaji.. uh.. nice to meet you.." Kaji says.. Akumi gives him a cold look and then a second later, she strikes him with a devastating kick to the groin, she scoffs and walks away. "Some men.. ugh.. disgusting.." she says with a cold tone. A voice is heard across the hall. "Akumi, come with me, now!' The principal says, with an angry tone . Afterwards, a group of guys gather around Kaji, and Ami sighs and leans down. "You okay there, Kaji? That looked painful.." Ami says, the guys all chuckle and help him up. "Ain't no way.. he's the first guy to survive an encounter with The Cruel Angel.." one guy said. "Yeah! He's the chosen one!" Another guy says, they all excitedly crowd him, and what seems like a bad encounter, turned into a rather happy ending, the bell rings, and the principal walks to them. "Oh, I'm sorry about that!, thats NO way to greet a new student, I see you met Akumi already..!, she's sensitive around guys, still, that dosent exsuse her behavior!" The principal says with a slight tone of amusement. "Y-yeah.. I don't wanna talk about it" Kaji says. "Well, don't let that ruin it, welcome to Sakura Bay High School, Kaji, we welcome you with open arms!" The principal says, Kaji smiles and the bell rings, Ami walks to Kaji and they both walk to class 1A together, since they both have the same class together.
