Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: The Origin of the Winged People

No sooner said than done.

Jarius first returned to the camp, announcing the danger had passed. Then, he instructed his clansmen to prepare bronze tools and, within the belly of Paradise Mountain, find two locations large enough to hold the corpses of the Titan and the dragon. They were to dig two massive pits!

He intended to hide them, preserving them for long-term use.

Then, grasping the azure stone, he soared toward the site where the Titan and dragon had perished together.

When he arrived at his destination, the scene was striking.

The blood of the two demigod creatures had ceased flowing, their divine bodies extraordinary in nature.

Yet, beneath them, several pools of golden blood still shimmered.

However, due to the irreconcilable forces of light and darkness.

Where their blood intermingled, a sizzling sound erupted, as if something was being eroded, decaying together in mutual destruction!

Witnessing this, Jarius abandoned the idea of bathing in both the Titan's and dragon's blood.

But light or darkness, Titan or dragon—he had to choose one.

Glancing at his form, he felt an affinity for humanoid creatures.

Thus, he approached the pool formed by the Titan's blood, clutched the azure stone, and plunged in!

"Argh!!"

In an instant, a bone-deep agony surged through him, as if every inch of his skin and every cell in his body were ablaze!

It was as though he were being reforged in a furnace, his entire being hammered like a piece of machinery, while a lethal, explosive sensation ripped his bloodlines apart and stitched them back together!

But soon, the azure stone emitted a faint glow, a cooling sensation spreading through him, quelling the violent upheaval and stabilizing his mutating bloodline.

Jarius barely had time to exhale in relief before another wave of excruciating pain struck, as if he'd descended into the eighteen layers of hell.

Pain—unbearable pain!

This time, there was no lake water to dilute it; he was immersed purely in the Titan's blood.

Beyond his consciousness, the system's incessant dings chimed, but he had no strength to check them.

For three days and three nights, this cycle repeated. When he could no longer feel the pain, only a stubborn will kept his unyielding spirit afloat. By then, only a tenth of the Titan's blood remained in the pool, its divine luster faded, reduced to something mundane.

Only then did Jarius recover.

He first examined his body, discovering that the gray-black feathers of his wings had vanished, replaced by pristine white ones.

His hair had turned silver, and aside from his wings, all the feathers on his body—including his face—had shed, revealing a strikingly handsome visage and pale, flawless skin.

Having bathed in the blood of the Light Titan, his charisma had soared.

But what thrilled him most was that his clawed hands and feet had fully transformed into human hands and feet, indistinguishable from those of his past life's humanity.

With human hands and feet, the possibilities were endless, and his combat prowess had skyrocketed!

Only now did he have the chance to check the system panel.

As soon as he opened it, a flood of system notifications poured out.

Seeing the option to name his race, a glint of curiosity flashed in Jarius's eyes.

He briefly considered naming it"Angel," but the moment the thought surfaced, an overwhelming sense of dread materialized, forcing him to abandon it instantly!

To claim a title beyond one's worth was to invite divine retribution!

"If I can't be an angel, being a Winged Man will do for now! System, name the new race: Winged Man!"

Jarius declared decisively.

[Congratulations, Player. Naming successful. Race: Eaglefolk changed to Winged Man!]
