Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: The System Awakens

Harry sat up, the grass damp beneath him, his breath misting in the cool air. The shimmering veil sharpened into a holographic screen, its surface translucent, displaying words in crisp, silver text. He analyzed it instantly: not a spell or artifact, but something intrinsic, tied to the magical surge. The screen's message was clear, commanding:

Harry Potter, you are chosen by the Source of Magic to perform a mission for the betterment of this world. The Source, the primal wellspring of all magical power, has granted this system to aid your journey, a tool to elevate your potential and guide your path.

This system enables you to track and enhance your physical and magical capabilities, providing a framework to strengthen your body and refine your magic. It allows you to optimize your growth by creating your standards and insights from the system framework. For artifacts linked to your personal magic (e.g., wand, magically selected items), it can provide you details related to that item. It will also offer you information if any foreign magic is detected in your body. Access it with intent—use commands like 'Status' or 'Tutorial' to engage its functions. Its power is yours, but its use demands smart thinking to use the system to its full potential.

Harry's pulse raced, the Source of Magic's selection igniting a sense of destiny. The system's message caught his attention, especially about personal and foreign magic. The idea that he could shape the system to his needs, creating his own protocols, felt like an extension of his ability to plan and adapt.

He tested the system's functions with a methodical approach. Thinking Status, the screen displayed:

Status: Harry Potter (Shade)

Attributes:

Strength => 10.

Agility => 14.

Stamina => 15.

Intelligence => 18

Magic => 20

Health Points => 150.

Items: (Only magical items can be associated with system)

Wand => Wood - Ebony/yew, Core(s) - thunderbird feather, basilisk fang, Lethifold essence.

Charmed Bracelet

Looking at the other function, he switched to 'Tutorial', which opened the display:

The system can be used to check any type of material and create any type of protocol or procedure according to the user's requirements.

Tutorial: Checking the Wand

Wand—ebony and yew, 11 inches, chosen by magical resonance to your essence.

Woods:

Ebony (sleek, dark; channels precise, powerful magic; aligns with unyielding will). Yew (pale, supple; tied to life, death, rebirth; resonates with survival of dark curse).

Cores:

Thunderbird feather (storm-born power, adaptability; amplifies dynamic spells).

Basilisk fang with venom (lethal potency, dark resilience; enhances destructive magic). Essence of Lethifold (shadowed intent, elusive strength; boosts stealth, suggestion).

Usage: Focus intent to amplify spells. Lethifold essence excels in Disillusionment, Confundus. Thunderbird supports weather-based charms. Basilisk strengthens hexes.

Please try to create your own protocol. This system does not contain any helping program, any type of functionality or usage is created or updated by user only. Existing features can also be changed according to user's requirement.

After looking at the tutorial, Harry decided to test the creation feature of system. He projected his mind to system:

'Create a new feature, Foreign magic detection. Any magic other than my personal magic should be checked and listed with details about what is known and what can be observed about it. Save the protocol.'

As soon as he completed his thoughts, system displayed a message:

~ 'Foreign magic detection' Protocol saved. Checking User for any foreign magic...

Lightning-shaped scar, forehead, result of dark curse(origin: Voldemort, 1981).

Properties: residual dark magic, potential link to caster. May influence emotions, magical sensitivity under stress.

Foreign magic specifics are obscured. Further data requires interaction with related magic or sources.

Harry spent the night in the park, stars overhead, testing the system's usage. He stood, grass crunching under his trainers, determined to explore its potential further. He decided to track his magic and created a tracking protocol for it.

'Create a new feature, Magic Journal. Track all spells used by me and provide details for it. Save the protocol.'

The system responded:

'Magic Journal' Protocol saved. Monitoring User's magical activity…

Afterwards, he performed some simple magic spells, which he could do without the wand. He cast Light, Levitation, and some other simple spells. All of them were showing on the system screen and detaiils were shown according to the understanding he had from learning and performing the spells.

Spell: Lumos

Details: Wandless, creates a glowing orb.

Proficiency—stable, low intensity.

Understanding—Basic illumination, drawn from mentor training.

Next, he tried Levitation, willing a nearby pebble to rise. The pebble wobbled, lifting a foot before dropping, his focus strained from the night's exertion.

Spell: Levitation

Details: Wandless, lifts small objects.

Proficiency—unstable, short duration.

Understanding—Basic telekinetic lift, limited by stamina.

He tested a third spell, a wandless Distraction Pulse, a trick Jasper taught to startle targets. A faint ripple of magic pulsed outward, rustling leaves ten feet away, weaker than his usual range. The system recorded:

Spell: Distraction Pulse

Details: Wandless, creates a brief magical ripple.

Proficiency—moderate effect.

Understanding—Disrupts attention, tied to telekinetic skill.

The Magic Journal protocol provided detailed feedback, reflecting his spell performance and understanding, tying to the system's stamina attribute. The proficiency scores gave Harry targets to improve, aligning with his goal to refine his magic for Hogwarts.

As morning light broke, Harry stood, the park's willows murmuring in the breeze. The screen faded, but its presence lingered, a mental tether he could summon with intent. Its rules—energy cost, visibility, scope, access, protocol limits—were clear, its functions—Status, Tutorial, user-created protocols—a framework to enhance his body, magic, and alliances. The point-based Status, tracking attributes and items, gave precision, tying to his Shade identity and mission. The protocols—Foreign Magic Detection, Magic Journal—offered tailored tools, with the wand and bracelet fully detailed and the scar a mystery to unravel. Its limits—stamina, knowledge, mastery—were challenges, spurring him to grow.
