A huge crater was formed on impact and was coloured red with blood. Serina dropped to the ground, her hollow eyes never leaving his bloodied being.
She walked closer, each step tapping the cemented ground purposefully. As the distance between them contracted, the horror watched for any signs of life. Even if it was the slightest.
However she saw nothing, Calvin's body lay unmoving, her elongated figure shrank till she was the size of a mundane female human, nevertheless her horrifying features were still intact.
She stood over Calvin, stared for a while before kicking his corpse. Still he didn't move, then she walked away, slowly and steadily; hadn't even gone a few paces when she swiftly dodged an incoming phantom bullet by vanishing.
Calvin stood, strong and defiant, his eyes abysmal black and his muscles bulging wildly. He turned to where she reappeared at an shot, nevertheless she dodged.
Currently, it was taking every ounce of his willpower to keep living. Standing however was a miracle.
Sight was blurry, he heard in frequency waves, his breathe dragged. All his internal structure was damaged to the extent he was logically a living dead.
The hollow eyes of Serina was locked on him. Gradually she increased into her regular battle size, her hand extended longer and had a faint glow of silver on the tip.
The next attack would send Calvin to the depths of the abyss. She flashed instantly, reappearing behind him. Blood spewed out of his abdomen as he dropped the second time.
{ Satanel : Unforgivable, Have you forsaken life }, He gasped clutching his gutted stomach. Lady Serina turned around and watched him. Watched him die slowly.
' Is this the end, ' he thought to himself slowly dragging himself forward. ' I… I have to, I have to win. ' Blood formed a trail as he arduously moved forward.
Pain bit through his mind, his breath heavy, his body collapsing. He had finally realized, he was simply match from the start.
Nevertheless he would keep trying till he dropped dead. The factory shook with great tremor, bringing down the remaining walls and ceiling.
It didn't concern the occupants of the space, as their fates meant more. Moments passed; Calvin still dragged forward, gritting his teeth in pain.
His skin now dangerously pale turned callous, chafe. The sense of feeling had slowly left him, his mind was honed towards a single goal.
The goal of redemption.
Stubbornly he kept going towards the last flame of purple. At first, Lady Serina could see that and was patiently waiting for him to drop dead, however that didn't happen.
Another rumble took part of her supernatural attention as quakes began tearing through the wreaked factory. A development which lead the horror to notice the foolish human's target.
Although it was a bit to late as Calvin had already reached the flame, she vanished from her spot and appeared above him. He couldn't even realize it and wouldn't care if he did.
He had stopped moving and just stared blankly at the flame. An enormous earthquake shook the area a headed towards the duo.
Lady Serina swiftly flipped Calvin to lie supine, then she forked him with her nails. She carried him across the dying flame, her arm directly below it.
The earthquake came creating an extremely deep chasm with it's edge right above Calvin. That didn't bother him as he didn't know he was directly above the edge of the chasm.
Both he and the horror exchanged a stare, his breathe heavy and his arms slumped behind him. An impression of helplessness hung around him like a second skin.
The horror raised her free hand to claim Calvin's head, therefore ending the encounter. However as her hand slowly descended to Calvin.
He raised him pulverized arm with a hand symbol pointing upwards. Immediately a surge of purple flame erupted from the last flame and took Lady Serina's arm instantly.
Uttering a loud shriek, Lady Serina vanished before Calvin could plummet into the endless abyss of the chasm. He lost consciousness immediately the darkness consumed him
