Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Faeries Aren't Friendly

Laughing at our faces, the two rude goblins kindly helped us out of the tunnel manhole opening of the lid. "You've got to be careful around here," said the wart-faced goblin on the right. "You could get lost in the stinky sewers without knowing where you are going," he continued, helping us to our feet.

"I want to go home!" I cried to the goblins who surrounded me. "I don't belong here! I will make sure you get what you all shall deserve!" I continued. But the two goblins next to me weren't paying attention to me.

Suddenly, the two goblins pointed to something shining at the starry night sky! A flash of yellow, sparkling ball of light started flying down to us. I tried to swat the flying bug out of my face. When I heard some innocent childlike laughter from the ball of sunlight in front of me, I realized it wasn't going to harm me.

Taking a closer look at the flying bug at me, it blew some sparkling dust into my eyes and face. I shook my head and sneezed. "What was that about?" I said, trying to focus my eyes open. But they were too watery to see anything clearly in the night.

Finally, grabbing the sleeve of my t-shirt, I wiped the glowing, sparkling dust out of my face. When I opened my eyes and they made my vision clear again, I suddenly saw the goblins were no longer with me. I was alone in the neighborhood of Supernaturalville.

It didn't make any sense. I don't know anything about what really happened. Were they even real? Or am I dreaming this up? I could be sleepwalking and not even know it. I started walking down the foggy sidewalk to the street.

Suddenly, I blinked a couple of times and sneezed. I looked around for the street sign. I didn't know where I was. It was dark and the only light was coming from the street posts. How do I get home in the dark?

I didn't have a cellphone or any way of contacting my grandmother. Who must be worried about me. "I wish I knew why I get myself into these messes," I muttered to myself, out loud. I wrapped myself in my warm, cotton jacket. And pulled my hoodie over my head to keep from shivering from the chilly night air.

I looked around the empty, dark, houses, next to me. Everybody in Supernaturalville seemed to be asleep. Nobody would want to wake up from their sleep. To help me get back home to my grandmother in the main village in town.

Suddenly, the ball of sunlight started flying around my face. "I want to show you something in the graveyard," a high-pitched female voice coming from the fairy told me. "The goblins want to make a special grave for your annihilation," she said.

The glowing ball of fairy kind, circled around me. And she suddenly started to slowly float in the air. As the glowing fairy guided me into the darkness of the neighborhood. I couldn't help but scream with surprise. As the floating above the ground made my tummy feel fluttery as I let the wind carry me into the foggy airy night.

I don't know what was to be expected of this flying experience. My arms outstretched beside me. As the wind picked up and carried me in the night air. I didn't want to be out here at night, by myself. Knowing goblins could be roaming about in the darkness of the night.

But so far, all I could see was darkness everywhere. Except for the glow of fairy, guiding me to the graveyard through the town. My grandma must be concerned about my whereabouts. I know she'll call the police if I'm not safely home with her in my bed, the next morning. But what could I do? I was paralyzed with a curse to do anything this fairy creature does whatever it wants from me.

After coming closer to the gate to the graveyard in Supernaturalville, I blinked in the darkness. I saw in the glow of the fairy in front of me, a goblin walking toward the closed gate of the Goth graveyard.

He started to unlock the gate, and waited for the fairy to wait instructions for me to wait at the gate to be let through securely. The wind floated me to the gate. As the goblin boy opened the closed gate.

I jumped when I heard the little fairy girl laugh hysterically like she wasn't suspecting anything like this to happen to me. The young, ugly-looking goblin boy quickly grabbed my denim jacket, and pulled me inside the graveyard. And closed the gate and locked it.

"Where are you taking me?" I demanded, my voice quivered with fear and from the cold night air. Before I could do anything to protect myself, the goblin boy grabbed hold of my denim jacket and shook me violently.

After letting go of my denim jacket, the rotten goblin boy snarled and growled at me. Showing his razor, sharp teeth. "We are preparing you for the ritual to be our fairy princess. Once we collect the power wishing crystals needed to awaken the Goblin Ghost. Who will give us power to make us will to the little townspeople who believe we should exist," he explained, growling and frowning at me.

It couldn't be real. If the gifted goblins who want the young mortals living in Supernaturalville, don't want to believe in the Goblin Ghost? How will they know the gifted goblins have any purpose to make them be their real friends?

It seemed there were zombies staggering around the graveyard, waiting to be put back to sleep again. "I just want to go home," I pleaded. But the two goblin kids ignored me. As they each grabbed hold of my arms and took me farther in the graveyard.

Suddenly, the fairy appeared in front of us. "Ok, we're almost there, guys," she said, excitedly. "We don't have much time before sunrise," the fairy continued. "But if we can get the zombies to follow along with the ritual of your annihilation, Emma Heart," she said., her voice tiny and high shrill sounding and echoed.

I couldn't believe I was in a dark, foggy graveyard. Surrounded by zombies who didn't want to go back to sleep. What could they possibly want to do with me? The two goblin kids, holding me against my will, pushed me to the ground. Landing in front of a tombstone, a hand erupted out of the grave I was sprawled on top of…

Another body was being raised from the dead. Zombies nearby grunted and staggered around me and the two goblin boys. But didn't attack us or try to eat me. They were just being impatient and waiting for them to be put back to sleep before sunrise.

The two goblin boys helped the dead body in the grave next to me, rise out of the grave! Stepping back, I gasped to see who was crawling out of the grave! It was… my grandma! She was dead!

I tripped over a twig on the ground and slipped on my feet. And landed on my back with a thud. As my dead grandmother arose from the grave. Her gray, pale skin peeling and she drooled hungrily.

Trying to get away from my dead grandmother, I wasn't fast enough! She grabbed me by my feet. And started dragging me away from the undead zombies staggering around the graveyard. "Grandma! You don't know what you are doing!" I screamed, my voice echoed through the night.

She just grunted and continued dragging me farther away into the graveyard. I was so scared. My heart was pounding. And I couldn't do anything but scream…! As my undead grandmother dragged me away…
