"Summoning Jutsu!!"

Biting his finger, Orochimaru slammed his right hand onto the ground. A scroll flew a short distance away, and densely packed seal tags spread out from his palm, with him at their center.

"Boom!!!"

With a tremendous roar, a colossal figure appeared in the forest, crushing countless rocks and trees. The giant figure virtually blotted out the sky.

Manda!!!

"Orochimaru, why have you summoned me? You know the price of summoning me."

Manda, summoned by Orochimaru, raised its massive head and looked down disdainfully at Orochimaru and Rong Lin.

Its size was unparalleled; it was probably comparable only to Jiraiya's Gamabunta, Tsunade's Katsuyu, and the Tailed Beasts.

If a snake this huge had appeared on Earth in his previous life, it would surely have been considered a demon. With a head the size of a house, a body hundreds of meters long, and a girth of over ten meters, it looked like nothing short of a monster.

"Manda, I need your help. Rong Lin-kun wishes to sign a suitable Summoning Beast contract."

Regarding Manda's attitude, Orochimaru's brow furrowed slightly, though his displeasure quickly vanished. Among the Summoning Beasts of the Three Sannin, Orochimaru's Manda was the most dangerous, and the most unreliable.

To summon it, one needed to sacrifice a hundred people. In contrast, Jiraiya's Gamabunta and Tsunade's Katsuyu were incredibly obedient, cooperating seamlessly without needing any compensation.

But Manda was an exception.

"Oh~"

Manda lowered its head and looked at Rong Lin: "Little brat of the Uchiha clan, I don't like the smell of you."

This guy…

Rong Lin looked at Manda. He hadn't expected Manda to be so arrogant. It seemed Orochimaru still couldn't completely suppress it; it was truly a bit of a failure.

"However, since Orochimaru has spoken, I'll help you out. Orochimaru, remember the price of your summons."

With that, Manda's colossal figure vanished. Rong Lin could see Orochimaru's face turn significantly grim. He felt a little strange inside. Of course, he knew what the so-called price was, and Orochimaru was truly quite put out.

But this was all for his own sake, so he felt a little embarrassed.

Orochimaru's expression changed rapidly. His grim aura quickly dissipated, as if the so-called price Manda spoke of was a simple matter that he didn't need to care about at all.

"Then, Rong Lin-kun, let us begin."

Rong Lin didn't understand why Orochimaru liked to add "-kun" when addressing others, even children. Fortunately, this depended on the person; for those he looked down upon, let alone "-kun," speaking a single extra word to them would make him feel like they deserved a beating.

"Understood."

Nodding, Rong Lin bit his finger, quickly formed hand signs, gathered the Chakra within him, and slammed his palm onto the ground. A massive seal spread out from his palm with extreme speed. Orochimaru stood to the side, quietly watching him.

If it were Tsunade and Jiraiya, they wouldn't need such trouble. But Orochimaru and the other two were different; directly negotiating a contract was difficult.

According to the intel, it seemed Orochimaru only discovered the Dragon Cave Dwelling behind Manda after leaving Konoha, unlike Jiraiya and Tsunade, who had long since gained its recognition.

"Boom!!!"

A massive mushroom cloud rose in the forest. Due to Manda's appearance, the surrounding forest had already been leveled, which actually made things convenient for Rong Lin.

"Who is summoning me?!!!"

A deep, displeased roar came from the white smoke. A massive figure quickly appeared, causing Orochimaru and Rong Lin to freeze in surprise. Was this Manda?

No, this wasn't Manda!!!

A giant snake, comparable in size to Manda and seven-tenths similar in appearance, appeared in the forest, once again crushing the ground Manda had already flattened.

Compared to Manda, this giant snake's aura was not inferior in the slightest, and its appearance was also very similar, with the only difference being its neck.

Manda's neck was like most snakes, but this giant snake's neck bore two huge spots, and its neck was somewhat flat, giving it a cobra-like appearance.

"Little brat!! How dare you disturb this old man!"

The giant snake looked down at Rong Lin from above, its voice filled with displeasure. Its roar, like thunder, continuously spread in all directions, terrifying the small animals in the surrounding forest, sending them fleeing.

Good heavens, how did he summon such a huge fellow?

Rong Lin couldn't believe it; his first time summoning a Summoning Beast, and he had pulled out a giant snake no less impressive than Manda!!!

"…Tch, Orochimaru."

Suddenly, the giant snake detected Orochimaru's presence. It turned its head, its huge eyes narrowing slightly, and burst into laughter: "Hahaha, Orochimaru, where's Manda? Did you get eaten, you good-for-nothing?!"

Orochimaru didn't answer. He turned to look at Rong Lin, who took two steps forward and stared at the giant snake.

"Your little master here summoned you."

Rong Lin wouldn't tolerate this guy being as arrogant and crazy as Manda, even if it was truly powerful.

"What?!!!!"

The giant snake roared angrily: "Kid, do you know what the consequences are for angering your Grandfather Black Scale?"

The giant snake was instantly enraged by Rong Lin, even revealing its own name. Rong Lin raised an eyebrow, smirking: "So, it's Black Scale. A pretty good name, but it doesn't quite suit you. I think Purple Scale would be more fitting."

"How dare you insult me! Hmph!"

Black Scale roared, opening its enormous maw and lunging at Rong Lin.

Its massive size notwithstanding, its movements were not slow in the slightest. Black Scale's attack transformed into a purple lightning bolt, and its huge mouth appeared above Rong Lin's head in an instant.

Did this guy really think he was so weak?

Rong Lin narrowed his eyes, activating his Sharingan and Byakugan. He activated his Time Power, causing Black Scale, which was about to attack him, to freeze for a moment. He suddenly felt a strange power enveloping his head. Time around him instantly slowed, becoming incredibly slow, as if time itself had been slowed down countless times.

"Since I've summoned you, then from now on, you'd better behave!!!"

Rong Lin wouldn't indulge Black Scale, even if it was no less powerful than Manda!

This made Rong Lin curious: how did Orochimaru originally sign a contract with Manda, and why did he tolerate Manda so much?

"Roar!!!"

Time was slowed down countless times, and Rong Lin easily dodged Black Scale's attack.
