Among these soul treasures, there were indeed many utterly bizarre items.
For example, a feather that could allow its wearer to fly—so long as it was stuck into their head. Once inserted, it allowed flight at a decent speed. It was called "Soaring Feather", and even had words inscribed on it:
"Insert one, and fly to the sky."
There were even stranger treasures, like the "Spring Shoes". Once worn, the user could bounce like a spring, leaping high into the air. Apart from their bouncing effect, they didn't seem to have any other use. Yet they were truly considered soul treasures. According to theory, an ordinary person could leap over a mountain with all their strength using them—or jump back up a cliffside from below.
There was also a "Bouncy Ball Soul Treasure" that ricocheted rapidly in all directions. Anyone hit by it would become instantly rigid, unable to move as if paralyzed. The paralysis didn't last long, and the stronger the target's cultivation, the shorter the duration. At high levels, the effect could even be negligible—but regardless, it was certainly an odd item.
Then there were flying knives shaped like willow leaves, snowballs that could transform into snow giants, invisibility cloaks, bubble guns, tin frogs, bamboo dragonflies, knockout clubs, bricks, razors, elastic ropes, and even the Pink Cloud of the Fair Lady, along with Pink Bombs, and many more eccentric soul treasures.
It seemed that the Soul Creation Furnace of the Bone Crystal Pillar could forge practically anything the mind could imagine—especially strange things. The weirder it was, the more likely it was to be created. In fact, regular soul treasures were far less common than these outlandish items.
It was truly two extremes.
On the Knockout Club, the words read:
"A little dizzy is healthy!"
On the Tin Frog, it said:
"Kiss me, and miracles happen!"
Yi Tianxing couldn't help twitching at the corners of his mouth. His mind felt overwhelmed just looking at these things. There were so many strange treasures that he felt a little dizzy himself, his face turning a shade pale.
"These soul treasures are really quite amusing."
"Indeed. This Pink Cloud one looks great—all pink clouds. If I bring it back, Anning and the others would love it."
"This Snowball is also fascinating—it turns into a snow giant. Not bad. Let's keep it for Xianling and the others. Adds a bit of fun to their lives."
The women were all intrigued, chatting excitedly about the quirky items. Many were useless to them, but could be gifts for Anning and others. Despite their oddities, they were still soul treasures, and could potentially become lifebound artifacts, eventually advancing to spiritual treasures of the Earth Grade. Their power was not to be underestimated. All in all, they were rare and valuable.
Yi Tianxing didn't argue.
One phrase said it all:
"Buy, buy, buy!"
After all, money comes and goes. These were just souls. On the Divine-Demonic Battlefield, killing more Eternal Night fiends meant earning more. No need to worry. What mattered now was taking the benefits while they were within reach.
"Husband, look! This one seems interesting!"
At that moment, Yao Yue pointed to something on the Bone Crystal Pillar.
Looking closer, a new soul treasure's description emerged:
Divine-Demonic Seed (神魔种子)
Forged using the flesh and blood essence of Eternal Night's supreme beings, nourished by soul energy. Can grow into a Divine-Demonic Treasure Tree, which in turn can birth various Divine-Demonic lifeforms or weapons. Different nourishment leads to different outcomes and fruits—some miraculous, some mundane.
"Crow Emperor, is this Divine-Demonic Seed the origin of those specialty treasure trees in the various war cities across the Divine-Demonic Battlefield—the ones that birth divine weapons and even whole races?"
Yi Tianxing's heart stirred. He quickly asked.
Those special treasure trees were the very foundation for a war city's development. Without one, a war city had no future. That truth never changed.
"Correct," said the Crow Emperor. "These seeds originated from my White Bone Crow Clan. In the previous era, when races were founding war cities, they'd come to us to buy Divine-Demonic Seeds. They'd plant them and nourish them with treasures. What grew would vary—sometimes weapons, sometimes even new races."
"Some even used their own blood and flesh to cultivate these trees, birthing future generations of their race from the tree. These tree-born descendants were indistinguishable from naturally born kin—though cultivating such a tree demanded an enormous price."
Indeed, in the previous epoch, such bloodline treasure trees were often the cornerstone of resistance against Eternal Night. Without them, no one could predict how the war might have gone.
Still, most races avoided relying too heavily on tree-born offspring. While these descendants could reach high levels—like the True Spirit Realm or Dao Platform Realm—their odds of becoming top-tier great powers were much lower than those born naturally.
That said, it wasn't considered a crippling flaw.
To grow a Divine-Demonic Treasure Tree, one had to invest massively. Once rooted, the tree's final form was locked in. Some would yield top-tier divine artifacts, others just common goods. The difference came down to how much was invested.
"The more you invest in a Divine-Demonic Seed, the more you get out of it."
You reap what you sow.
Of course, the resource cost was staggering. Even after taking root, constant resources were needed to sustain it. On the battlefield, fallen corpses became the primary resource—war feeding war, growth through endless slaughter.
Still, even so, a war city could only support one or two such trees. More than that would burden its growth, doing more harm than good.
"No wonder your White Bone Crow Clan holds such a massive city and doesn't care about resource disputes. You practically created those divine treasure trees yourselves," Yi Tianxing remarked, impressed. "Of course you're confident. You deserve to be."
"Each Divine-Demonic Seed costs one hundred million soul points," the Crow Emperor said with a grin. "We only sell the seeds. What they become is your business."
"How many are there here?" Yi Tianxing asked without hesitation.
"Thirty. Most are leftovers from the last epoch. It's nearly impossible to forge more now—we lack the necessary essence from peak-tier beings."
"I'll take all thirty."
This was a true treasure. Cultivating them could yield endless wealth, a self-replenishing resource. With thirty seeds, that could mean thirty powerful new specialty trees.
"Be warned," said the Crow Emperor. "Once planted, the Divine-Demonic Seed cannot be relocated. Moving it means death. Choose your planting site wisely."
"Does the seed need to be planted on the battlefield? Can it grow in the Eternal World?" Yi Tianxing asked.
"Anywhere will do," the Raven Emperor assured. "They only appear here because the battlefield provides enough resources. But if you can support them elsewhere, plant them wherever you want. No taboos—just no moving them once planted."
"Perfect."
Yi Tianxing nodded. That boosted the value of the seeds immensely. If they were stuck on the battlefield, they'd be lost once he left. But now, he could plant them in the Great Yi Dynasty, in the Imperial Palace, in the Cloud Realm of Tree Palaces—anywhere. Thirty potential specialty industries. An unfathomable foundation.
Naturally, this was something to rejoice over.
Then came another round of shopping. Regardless of how bizarre the items were:
Buy. Buy. Buy.
There was even a Black Crow Feather Arrow—the Arrow of Misfortune. Anyone struck wouldn't necessarily die instantly, but would be cursed by misfortune, possibly even perishing under the weight of bad luck.
In the end, all his stored soul points were spent.
What he got in return was a mountain of soul treasures, each one either powerful, strange, or valuable.
