Chapter 174 - Chapter 174 The Yellow-Haired Man, Jiraiya

"Hahahahaha!!"

"Old man you…hahahahahaha!"

After learning from his shadow clone that Jiraiya had left Mount Myoboku to confess his feelings to Tsunade, Naruto's main body rushed over to mercilessly mock the old man.

Seeing Jiraiya with his newly dyed blond hair, Naruto clutched his stomach, laughing uncontrollably.

'No way...'

'I really didn't expect that someone would actually plan to dye his hair yellow before confessing his love.'

'What a joke.'

'Having yellow hair is a natural talent. How can you get any bonus just by dyeing your hair yellow?'

"Shut up, you brat!"

Jiraiya clenched his fist and punched Naruto in the head.

But Naruto would never give the old man a chance. He casually raised his hand and deflected the attack.

"You damn brat!"

"You dare fight back now?!"

Jiraiya felt regretful in his heart. If he had known earlier, he would not have told the boy about his plans before leaving.

Now, Naruto was stubbornly following him around and keeps mocking him!

He was just going to confess his feelings... not to die!

"And…"

"You won't succeed if you confess like this."

"Just look at what you're wearing."

Naruto tried to change the subject while trying to hold back his laughter.

"What's wrong with my clothes?"

Jiraiya scratched his head and looked at what he was wearing.

He'd been dressing like this for years, and he is still popular among the ladies when he goes to a brothel.

"Old man! You should at least dress decently!"

Naruto rolled his eyes, as he couldn't take this guy's fashion sense anymore.

Then, he threw out a set of red tight tracksuits.

After all, Jiraiya have dyed his hair yellow, so it would be unreasonable not to wear this suit, right?

"Naruto..."

"Are you sure this counts as decent?"

Jiraiya stared at the flashy outfit, his expression twisting uncomfortably.

He had a strong feeling Naruto was messing with him.

The clothes weren't exactly ugly, it just looks extremely bizarre.

"Jiraiya-sensei, please believe me."

Naruto's expression was serious, and to enhance his credibility, he even pulled out an identical set, claiming he'd change into it too.

"Fine."

Jiraiya nodded, thinking that perhaps he was just out of touch with modern youth fashion, so he picked up the tracksuit and went to change in a corner.

A few minutes later, a yellow-haired, middle-aged 'spiritual old man' Jiraiya appeared in front of Naruto wearing loafers.

The red spandex tightly hugged his figure, and the skinny pants are so tight that Jiraiya had to pull his crotch from time to time.

But overall, he looked very 'spirited'.

But Naruto couldn't shake the feeling that the whole vibe was too philosophical.

When Jiraiya noticed Naruto hadn't changed, his face darkened instantly.

"You damn brat!"

"You promised you'd change too!"

"If you don't put this on right now, I'm not letting this go!!"

Jiraiya felt more and more certain that Naruto had tricked him, and the fact that Naruto hadn't changed made him even more nervous.

'If the confession failed...'

'It was all this brat's fault!'

In the end, under Jiraiya's threats, Naruto reluctantly changed into the ridiculous outfit.

Thankfully, Hinata and Sasuke weren't in Konoha, otherwise, he would never wear this thing even if he was beaten to death.

The two yellow-haired men, one big and one small, were walking on the streets of Konoha, attracting the attention of the villagers. If Naruto hadn't glared at them, this group of people would probably have continued to stare.

"Here, take this."

In order to increase the chances of old man's confession being successful, Naruto also considerately took out a bouquet of roses and handed it to Jiraiya.

"Naruto..."

"Maybe... maybe we should just forget it."

"I think things are fine as they are."

Jiraiya clutched the flowers, glanced at the Hokage Tower, and suddenly felt like backing out.

Naruto was immediately irritated by the cowardly remarks made by the yellow-haired old man. He pointed at Jiraiya's nose and started cursing, "What do you mean forget it?!"

"Old man, look at how pathetic you're being!"

"Aren't you supposed to be a legendary pervert?!"

"Where's that confidence you have in brothels!"

'No wonder you haven't been able to catch up with her after living for so long.'

'With this kind of attitude...'

'You deserve to stay lonely forever!'

"N-No... I can't."

The fifty-year-old old man suddenly acted like a timid teenager, unable to muster up the courage to confess to the woman he loved.

Jiraiya turned around and walked back, his eyes full of hesitation.

But Naruto wasn't about to let him off the hook. He grabbed his arm on the spot, and pulled him while shouting.

"Damn it!"

"Old man, don't make me curse you out!"

"We're already at the door!"

"And now you want to back out?"

"Move it! We're going in!!"

Jiraiya was very nervous, his face was covered in sweat, and his mind kept recalling the scenes of being rejected by Tsunade for so many years.

But seeing that Naruto had already dragged him to the entrance, Jiraiya began to use his status as his teacher to pressure Naruto.

"You damn brat! Let go!"

"I'll... I'll try again tomorrow."

"Today's not the day... I'm not ready yet."

"What are you not ready for?"

"You're already in your fifties!"

"Are you going to wait until you're dead to finally grow a spine?!"

Naruto glared at the old man and felt so disappointed with him.

In the original work, the closest Jiraiya ever got to success was his bet with Tsunade before leaving to infiltrate the Akatsuki.

From this, it can also be seen that Jiraiya went there with the determination to die.

But this time, Naruto wanted the old man to have a happy ending.

The commotion at the entrance quickly caught Tsunade's attention. She walked down the stairs with a sour face and looked at the master and disciple coldly.

"What the hell are you two doing?!"

"This is the Hokage Tower!"

"Not a wet market!"

The moment her voice rang out, the master and disciple immediately shut their mouths.

Jiraiya quickly hid the bouquet behind his back, his eyes wandering, not daring to look Tsunade in the face.

Meanwhile, Naruto poked the old man with his hand, urging him to speak up.

When Tsunade walked downstairs and saw the master and disciple with yellow hair and red tracksuit, her eyes darkened and her blood pressure rose.

'What are this masters and disciple going to do now!?'

When she saw Jiraiya in a tight-fitting suit, her face is full of disgust and resistance.

And that head full of yellow hair, Tsunade almost couldn't help but punch Jiraiya.

But Tsunade's expression also made Jiraiya even more determined to leave.

"S-Sorry… my bad…"

"We'll leave now."

Jiraiya forced an awkward laugh, grabbed Naruto and wanted to walk out the door, but the boy rooted to the spot like a stubborn ox, and no matter how hard he pulled, Naruto didn't budge an inch.

"Auntie."

"My teacher has something very important to tell you!"

No matter how much Jiraiya wanted to run, Naruto had put him straight into the fire. He really wanted to see how the old man would run now.

Just as Jiraiya opened his mouth to make excuses, Naruto suddenly shoved him right in front of Tsunade, and he slipped out of the door to observe secretly.

"Tsunade, I just remembered I have something urgent to attend to..."

"Hahahahahaha."

"I'll head back first."

Jiraiya was in a panic, his hands and feet moved very unnaturally, and he accidentally let Tsunade caught a glimpse of the flowers behind his back.

"Stop."

"What did you want to say?"

Tsunade's expression relaxed a lot when she saw the bouquet. She crossed her arms and stared at Jiraiya, who had dyed his hair yellow.

At this moment, besides Naruto, there were also many other Shinobi hanging out outside the entrance.

Even Shikamaru, Neji, Tenten and others had also come to spectate.

Even the densest among them could tell that Jiraiya, holding flowers, was clearly about to confess to Tsunade...

Jiraiya glanced at the increasing number of people gathering around him, and sweat was already dripping down his forehead. He turned his head to the side and spoke in panic.

"Tsunade...."

"I-It's really nothing."

"I'll go now!"

Jiraiya closed his eyes, turned around and walked towards the entrance.

When Tsunade heard this, her face darkened instantly. She grabbed the guy by the back of his collar and said flatly, "Wait."

"Leave the flowers."

"O-Oh… right."

When Jiraiya heard she hadn't pressed further fine, he was relieved instantly. He stuffed the bouquet into Tsunade's arms and fled directly.

There was a sudden booing from the crowd outside the door, as they were all dissatisfied with the ending.

"What are you all doing standing at the entrance!?"

"You want to get beaten?"

Tsunade's sharp tone sent the crowd scattering. After all, if the Godaime Hokage said she would beat someone up, she would really do it.

But she remained standing there, staring blankly at the flowers in her hands. After a long moment, she finally lifted her gaze and murmured in the direction where Jiraiya had just left, "Coward."
