The day for the contest was near with all of Adam's wounds healed. His second idea came to the spotlight while preparing themselves foe the tour…
"Hey what's the contest all about?" Adam asked yet again and Clarie explained again.
"Since the rival guild issued a challenge we gained the ability to choose what kind of challenge it would and that it would take in a far away village, this village issued a quest for about a few months ago and it was a very high rank quest so none of the guild's in the area dared to take it on so we agreed this would be the perfect challenge to prove ourselves. In this quest we have to defeat some kind of unidentified creature causing all the animals in that area to die, this is great danger because people hunt those animals and if they die they'll starve, that's all OK now no questions."
" If I was listening then, we never came up with the day of the contest so we could leave at any time."
Clarie and the others had blank expressions "why is he correct?" It was at that moment Adam realized that the members of the guild though he was an idiot. "So with that conclusion I can only assume that you want us to leave early to cease the advantage and since we officially never gave a due date then they can't complain." Hotaru was amazed at this idea to the point that small cute embers sparked from him (the sparks had eyes and mouth and it's natural it would seem) The guild prepared and agreed they would leave next morning this means they would be one day ahead in the expedition. I wish I cou…" a small package fell in front of Snowflake while walking around the building, this package had a lot of impact cushions e.g sponges and inside was Adam's phone, she noticed it immediately with the ANIME WALLPAPER this would be another secret code meaning: I'll be back love. She gave a large red faced smile waht she didn't notice was that the two badges guy was in the corner staring with curiosity, looks like he noticed the package fly in.
Adam and the others packed their bags and carriages the next day and they qould be traveling in horse driven carriage in order to stay secret because horse carriages are mainly used by weird people in the nation so no one would suspect them making it the perfect cover but before they could take off they had to wait for Adam's custom made order, it was a Mokutan guild cloak but customized for Adam. The order arrived at 03.06am four minutes before departure and it was at that time Clarie realized that the current guild cloak was terrible compared to the custom made cloak of Adam and unlike the first one this one actually represented the guild's name this also made Clarie realize that among all of their uniforms Adam's is the only one who actually represents the guild and at that time Adam was now assigned as the face of the guild but they had more pressing matters like the expedition.
The carriage stormed out with haste with a rented driver but soon slowed down right after reaching the outskirts of town, they were now in the distant lands were animals and monsters roam freely. The team would now continue on foot as it was the natural way of an expedition. They first had to travel across the swamp fields filled poisonous fog but they were prepared for the fog thanks to Yasha one of rhe new recruits, she packed up some gas masks which only made them cooler as they walked in around the area. The trees were all mutated like but all of them seemed to full of green leaves and with tge sun up high I the sky the heat was easily trapped within the area…
"Uhhh..guys what's that sound?"Bloop! The solid ground began to soften and the fog got more and more thicker even though it was high noon, the ground they were on liquidated giving clear indications that during the day it becomes swampy but during the night it's all solid pure ground.
"Eveyone go find a place to hide and rest, we should continue the journey at night an by the way we shou…." Clarie sank in the swamp water as she was just about to finish her talk
"Noooooo! MISS Claaaaarieee!!" Mika and Yasha both screamed their lungs out and Hotaru and Adam were shocked to how much the girl's relationships had grown and Hotaru knew something the others didn't. The whole swamp water turned charcoal black like the ink of olden days when people used to write with bird feathers instead of pens and within that water every water creature was dead and in it rose arie the one and only INK magic sorceress in the top 5 guilds in tge jurisdiction. Right after land on one of the trees she grabbed the others with long ink hands right after the whole ink covering the area returned back to normal like nothing ever happened. The fishy crestures rose up from the water but instead of attacking they layed dead ontop of the swamp water, looks like Clarie killed them all with her black ink magic.
The team wanted to eat something but knew that the dead creatures were poisonous making it impossible to eat so thay night they walked around the area right after the ground turned solid again while starving that's when a large four legged being chased them down. The team couldn't afford to waste time trying to fight so they ran and ran up until they found the exit to the swamp area and luckily they got out right as the morning came, avoiding another swamp water event…
"PHEW! good thing we got out in time." Jotaru and Clarie weren't as tired as the others evrb though they were the ones infront.
"Uhhhh where's Adam? I haven't seen him after you turned the whole area black."
