Chapter 71 - CHAPTER SEVENTY-ONE

There were two times during the years I'd known Tara, that I was scared of her.

One was the time I told her about the damning pictures of me and Damon kissing in the parking lot.

I remember being terrified of her at

that moment. The 4'11 woman looked up at me with fiery eyes making my heart pound

faster.

I'd always thought of Tara as cute and someone I wanted to protect. But at that moment, as her eyes burned a hole through my skull, a part of me knew she could kill me if she wanted to.

She certainly looked like she wanted to. I

remembered how good of a job she did burying the body even though it was her first

time, and gulped. She was not to be trifled with, especially when she was mad.

"Well?" she snapped.

I wanted to get the words out; they were right there at the tip of my tongue, but no matter how much I squealed, they wouldn't come out. Her eyes grew dimmer by the second and I could feel the sweat dripping down my neck.
