Chapter 239 - Chapter 239: Trust Me, Guaranteed Win!

After speaking, Kiana flipped over, burying her face even deeper into the pillow.

Little did she know, this movement made the girl's curves stand out even more vividly.

Van helplessly shook his head and continued, "Breakfast has your favorite grilled toast…"

"Mmm…"

"And fried eggs."

The person under the blanket squirmed a little.

"If you still don't get up, I'll eat all the heart-shaped breakfast Mei made for you!"

That sentence seemed to push some sort of switch, Kiana suddenly sat up, eyes not even fully open, shouting, "No way! That's Mei's love-filled breakfast for me!"

Seeing Kiana's adorable appearance, Van couldn't help but chuckle. "Then hurry and go wash up."

After saying that, Van left the room, leaving time for Kiana to prepare.

Sirin's room, on the other hand, was a completely different scene.

When the door opened, the purple-haired girl was curled up under the blanket, only half her head sticking out.

Hearing the sound of the door opening, she let out a groggy whimper from lack of sleep.

"Sirin, it's time to get up."

Van walked to the bedside and was just about to reach out to pat her when his wrist was suddenly grabbed.

Van, '!!!'

Before he could react, he was pulled down onto the bed by a sudden force.

Sirin, eyes closed, wrapped around him like an octopus, arms and legs all tangled, then rubbed her head against his chest.

"Sirin?!"

The girl in his arms seemed to finally sense something was off and slowly opened her drowsy eyes.

When she saw what was happening, her entire face turned beet red in an instant.

Yet even like that, Sirin didn't let go of Van's hand, instead, she even snuggled her head further into his chest.

Just then, the door was suddenly pushed open.

"Old man! You're just waking someone up, why are you taking so lo…"

Ivana's voice abruptly stopped. But really, the scene in the room was quite ordinary.

Van stood by the bed; Sirin sat on it.

However, Sirin's flushed cheeks and panicked eyes instantly made the whole atmosphere ambiguous.

"Uhhh…" Ivana narrowed her eyes into a thin slit. "Did I come at a bad time?"

Sirin immediately let go and grabbed a pillow to throw. "You bastard, get out right now!"

Ivana dodged agilely and backed out of the room with a mischievous smile. Before leaving, she even added a parting jab, "Don't stay in there too long, you two~ Breakfast's getting cold~"

———

In the dining room, everyone sat around the table enjoying breakfast.

Kiana was stuffing toast and fried dumplings into her mouth ravenously, mumbling,

"As expected of Mei's breakfast, so good! The dumplings are crispy outside and tender inside, perfectly cooked! And this toast, just the right level of crisp!"

Hearing that, Raiden Mei's cheeks flushed red. She hurriedly said, "Actually… most of it was made by Van. I just helped out a little…"

The table went silent for a second.

All eyes immediately turned to Van, filled with surprise and admiration.

"Huh?" Kiana's eyes widened. "It was actually made by Van?!"

Beside her, Sirin quickly grabbed another dumpling and put it into her bowl.

Then she sneakily glanced around to see if anyone noticed. Only after confirming no one did did she breathe a long sigh of relief.

But just as she was about to enjoy the dumpling Van made… a sinful hand reached into her bowl.

"Hey! That's mine!"

Sirin tried to stop it, but it was too late.

"Mmm~ Tasty!" Ivana smacked her lips while saying, "As expected, stolen food always tastes better~"

Seeing her bowl nearly empty, Sirin puffed her cheeks angrily.

Ivana, on the other hand, rolled her eyes and quietly said to Sirin, "Sirin, sorry~"

"Hmph~"

Sirin snorted coldly and turned her head away.

Ivana wasn't offended. Instead, she patiently added, "Then, what if I said I had a way to let you eat Old man's cooking every day?"

Hearing that, Sirin turned her head back and fell into thought.

———

Breakfast ended in a light and cheerful atmosphere.

After tidying up, Kiana excitedly stood on the sofa and shouted, "Alright! We can finally go to the beach! I can't wait to swim!"

Everyone was infected by her excitement and rushed back to their rooms to pack.

In the room, Raiden Mei carefully folded her prepared swimsuit and placed it into a waterproof bag, then stuffed a few bottles of sunscreen into her bag.

She turned to look at Kiana, who was rummaging for sunglasses. "Kiana, did you bring the sunscreen spray?"

"Brought it, brought it!" Kiana waved the bottle in her hand and winked. "Mei's preparing so seriously, are you hoping to surprise Van?"

"Kiana! What nonsense are you talking about…"

Even though Raiden Mei said that, her hands moved even more meticulously.

In the next room, Sirin was stuffing her swimsuit into the very bottom of her backpack, then covering it tightly with a towel.

She straightened her collar in front of the mirror, muttering softly, "Compared to the others, mine looks kind of childish…"

Suddenly, a knock on the door scared her so much she almost jumped.

"Who is it?" Sirin asked nervously.

"It's me." Fu Hua's voice came from outside. "Want to walk together?"

"No… no need! You guys go first…"

Sirin replied in a panic, afraid someone would see the swimsuit in her bag.

In the hallway, Ivana was stuffing a small bottle into Fu Hua's bag. "Old hag, remember to use this sunscreen later, it works super well!"

Fu Hua pushed up her glasses at the sight, then pondered. "Ivana, the swimsuit you helped me pick… Is it really suitable?"

"Relax!" Ivana patted her nonexistent chest and guaranteed, "Totally perfect!"

As they walked out of the hotel, the sunlight was just right.

Under the azure sky, soft white sand stretched all the way to the blue sea.

A breeze passed, bringing a faint salty scent and the sound of waves.

"Waaah!" Kiana was the first to charge into the changing room. "I'm changing first!"

Inside the women's changing room, each girl occupied a corner.

Kiana quickly changed into her blue-and-white sporty swimsuit, then turned around to help Raiden Mei tie the straps on her back.

"Perfect!" Kiana admired her handiwork. "I'm already falling for you in this, Mei, let alone Van!"

At those words, Raiden Mei's face instantly turned crimson.

At the other end of the changing room, Ivana was helping Fu Hua adjust her swimsuit straps. "Old hag, chin up, chest out! That's how it looks good!"

Fu Hua stood stiffly, letting Ivana move her around.

"Ivana, are you sure this one isn't… too revealing?"

"No worries!" Ivana grinned. "Old hag, you still don't trust me? Would I ever harm you?"
