Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: Prophecy Foretold, a Dark Future In the Horizon

"Throughout the cosmos, there are a countless amount of worlds, countless amounts of star systems, countless amount of dimensions. Each with their own laws and some with their own unique system of cultivation that differs from one another."

"Each worlds has their own limits in cultivation that can be attained. The moment a cultivator reached passed the limits of that world, they will have to undergoes a tribulation before being send to ascend to any higher ranking world that suits their Dao."

"Mortal World, Lesser Ranking World, Profound Ranking World, Ascended Ranking World and lastly Central World. These are the ranking of worlds within our Plane."

"Mortal worlds are worlds devoid of any spiritual Qi. As so, the laws within these worlds are extremely fragile so much so that even a Qi Refiner can easily break the entire world apart with a single slash of their finger."

"Lesser Ranking World is no different than a Mortal World. However, as there exist a small amount of spiritual Qi inside these worlds, these worlds are slightly more resilient than a Mortal World."

"Profound Ranking World and Ascended Ranking World are brimmed with spiritual Qi, making the laws within these worlds extremely powerful. Our Skyfall World can be said to be a Lesser Ranked World."

"As for a Central World, just like it's name, a Central World is a world located in the middle of a star system surrounded by countless other worlds. A Central World are extremely vast, so vast that the smallest Central World ever recorded could contains millions if not billions of Ascended World. To truly understand how big an Ascended World is, our Skyfall World is already vast. In our world where countless continents and islands existed, our Profound Spirit continent can be said to encompass half of the globe."

"The size of a world signifies the strength of the laws of the heavens and earth which also signifies the strength of the world's spirit. A strong enough world spirit also signifies the quality of talents that can be born inside said world."

"To have a talent like Alchemy Master Gold Lotus been born from a Lesser Ranked World, is indeed very rare." The elderly man swirl the cup of tea in his hand.

Currently, both Liu Yang and the elderly man sat at the quite corner of a tea house located nearby the Alchemy Guild. They are currently at the fourth floor, reserved specially only for the rich and VIPs.

The floor they are currently in is quite luxurious. Decorated with many antiques and expensive furnitures.

Just these wooden furnitures are craved from a Blessed Golden Wood, suitable for calming the soul.

Even the cups and bowls are molded from a Green Wood Earth, a material usually used to temper the body of cultivators with earth attribute Spiritual Root.

A few tables around them are all full of nobles cultivators. Each of them wearing fancy attires, woven from the best of materials suiting their status.

Liu Yang smiled, "It can't be helped, I inherited all the good genes from my late mother."

"Oh? She must have been quite the talent to be able to give birth to such a talent like Alchemy Master Gold Lotus." A knowing light flashes within the elderly man's eyes.

"She was....she was the best there is." Liu Yang took a sip from the cup of tea he is holding, "The best mother one could hope to have."

Someone who deserved more after what the world had done to her.

Liu Yang's gaze turns to the portrait of a woman hung on the wall of the tea house. A thick karmic law shrouding the entire portrait and yet his gaze simply penetrate through.

A beautiful woman with long black hair that shimmers like the stars in the sky. A mischievous smile adorned her oval shaped face highlighting her dimples, at the lower left corner of het lips, a single mole can be seen. A piece of black cloth wrapped around her head, covering her eyes.

She is simply the most beautiful woman there is.

"With such a wonderful mother, this old man is wondering about her partner. Surely your father was someone comparable to her was he not?" The elderly man suddenly said, cutting Liu Yang from his thoughts.

When he heard the old man's question, his face distorted to disgust.

"Him? That useless sperm donor of mine?" Liu Yang looks like he wants to vomit, "Don't care, not important enough."

The elderly man almost spits the tea that he had already drank. The corner of his lips can't help but twitch.

So you are a mother's boy?

Don't you have any ounce of respect for your dad?

Without your dad then your mother won't be able to give birth to you you know?

If Liu Yang heard the old man's thoughts, he would definitely snorted in disdains.

My old man?

That sperm donor of mine can't even properly handle his head getting decapitated.

How pathetic was that?

The elderly man coughed, "It seems our meeting has reached it's end. If fates allows it then, then we will definitely meet again in the future."

As he said this, the elderly man stood up.

Liu Yang pull his blindfold open, revealing a single golden orb staring at the elderly man's departing figure.

"Send my regards to my grandmaster." The blindfolded youth leaned his back against the couch.

The elderly man froze, stopping on his tracks. He glance at the youth with an odd light flashing within his gaze.

Liu Yang's eye began to twitch. He closed his exposed pupil and covers them with his blindfold.

"The stars and the moon are quite beautiful tonight."

Maybe painting will be great to pass the time.

"So? How was it?" A deep voice spoke as the elderly man stepped into a dimly lit office.

A lone figure can be seen sitting on a couch, just behind a fancy desk. His figure is lighten by the light coming in through the window.

Old Xuan looks up, meeting the stern gaze coming from the single golden coloured pupil that stare at him from the darkness. Like an eye of an ancient being, the golden orb stare at the elderly man, filling the room with a heavy supression.

"Reporting to the master, it seems that he is indeed their son." Old Xuan reported, "As for how he is able to live after tens thousands of years and still being so young with such a weak cultivation, this servant still can't find any reasonable explanation."

The figure stroke his beard, "Then it is as I expected, the Existence of the Dragon Emperor had became one with him much like how the prophecy had foretold."

"The essence of chaos will become one with the essence of a Divine Dragon."

That foolish prophecy. Because of that foolish prophecy many had suffered. All because of those in power who are too much of a coward

"I am afraid we have failed them. We have failed to protect their legacy."

"But it is not too late."

"Tell me, what do you think about the boy?"

"He is like a dragon among men. His comprehension, his talent and even his foundation is something that could rivaled many geniuses from a Profound or an Ascended Ranked World above."

"Such talent, his future will be limitless."

"And I'm afraid his future will also be bleak and filled with losses and sadness." The figure can't help but chuckle.

Old Xuan remains silent. If he is indeed their son and if it is as what as the prophecy had foretold many years ago, the boy's future will be one filled with sadness.

The figure suddenly stood up.

"Where are you going, master?" Old Xuan asked when he saw his master suddenly standing up.

The figure waved his hand, ripping the fabric of space before him, "Considering that he is their child, even if his soul is no longer the same, he can still be considered as my grandson."

The moment Jun Yanfu stepped out, he was greeted with the sight of a blindfolded boy sitting on top of a building. The boy did not even brothers to look at the middle aged man. He continues to looks down, his hand holding a brush and a paper.

Holding the brush in one hand, Liu Yang's hand move in an elegant manner, layering the paper with black ink. His hand suddenly stopped, before moving to the side and dipping the tip of the brush with an ink.

"That woman, her.... companion were once a disciple of mine." Jun Yanfu stood beside the boy and suddenly spoke.

Liu Yang's hand suddenly stopped. The truth is he had not sensed the presence of the middle aged man.

When he looks up to see the man's gaze, he then realised why.

The middle aged man can be said to be quite handsome despite his age. His skin has now has a few wrinkles, a sign of his old age. His long grey hair is flicked back. On his face, a long scar can he seem from the top of his forehead down to his left cheek, passing righ through his right eye. His remaining left eye has a golden pupil, like a sun that shimmers in the dark sky.

One thing caught his attention.

His golden pupil. A trademark that belongs to one of the Six Hegemons. The Truth clan.

No, the man is not just any ordinary member of the Truth clan.

From the gleams of his pupil alone, he is clearly a member of the main family, the Fate Karmic family capable of peering through fate and karma itself. Some could even control the strings of fate, albeit such ability comes with a cost.

Given such heaven defying Immortal Pupils, it is no wonder that Liu Yang's Immortal Pupils can't sensed him. Their control over karma far surpasses him.

Secondly, it's his cultivation.

"I never knew that my old sperm donor has an Imperial as a master." Liu Yang tilted his head.

"It is a shame that your Origin Core had been damaged, making you no different than an average Nascent Soul Grandmaster."
