Hello to all Webnovel readers. After a long wait, in commemoration of the latest One Piece episode, I'm starting my chapter update for the fanfiction "The Greatest Conqueror in One Piece." But before you begin reading my story, there are several things I want to clarify to avoid misunderstandings and prevent you from leaving me comments or reviews complaining. SO PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.
If you feel that there is a reference or detail in the plot that seems familiar to you, it is because it was taken from another fanfic. It is not my intention to plagiarize or claim ownership of these works, but I need their strengths to do the task.
I intend for this to be a very long, detailed fanfiction in which the characters, their interactions, and experiences are as deep, fluid and connective as those seen in the manga/anime/etc and other high-quality fanfiction. I will edit and rearrange elements from these stories to achieve this, as they not only serve to include everything I intend in the plot, but also help me develop my own story.
My objective is to write for fun, but also to polish a story that includes "EVERYTHING" from One Piece in a perfect way, without having to make up too much OC characters or content, and fixing several details that the other authors fail at. This doesn't mean there aren't any original stories, but characters or locations that are established in the franchise will be used for them.
I'm also interested in a story where the protagonist becomes the best through his own abilities, relying on his own strength from the start and seeking to become stronger through his own effort, knowledge and willpower, not needing for a Devil Fruit to master or an overbearing system full of statuses, skills, points, shops, gacha, cheats, and other bullshit that interferes with the story.
Even if he's interested in Devil Fruits and seeks to harness their powers, he will never eat one. There may be other elements included that allow him to become even more powerful, but it will all be from the One Piece franchise.
The MC arrives in the One Piece world when the Elbaf Arc ends, so he won't know anything about what comes later in the original story, even if I include it in detail later in the fic.
Also, while the MC will be more on the side of good, that doesn't mean he'll be a perfect good guy. When he sees it necessary for his own benefit, he'll be willing to be a ruthless man who won't blink at threats, robbery, murder, or rape. If you want the perfect hero who fights against the villains of the world using his virtues and good principles, then don't read this fanfiction.
Also, I want to clarify that I'll be making some changes to the power scales for non-canon characters. I don't intend to make any sweeping changes carelessly, but you'll all agree that Luffy has a regularly uneven strength, and he always gets stronger to defeat his enemies, regardless of whether they were superior to him at first or what their references are.
Good examples of this are Shiki and Zephyr. A former Rock officer and a former naval admiral losing to him before Gear 4 was invented? You can use the excuse that they're older and weaker, but that's just a plot convenience.
For those kinds of situations (which aren't rare), I'm going to make those characters more powerful so it makes sense in the current context of the series. I hope that doesn't disappoint you when it happens.
Finally, I want to state that although I'm interested in writing this fanfiction, you shouldn't expect frequent and consistent updates. It will really take some time.
First, I'm writing another fanfiction and won't be as immersed in this story as I'll be in that one.
And second, and more importantly, One Piece is just too HUGE, in every sense of the word. Aside from the endless Dragon Ball games that destroy its franchise, One Piece is the biggest anime franchise in history, with most its fanfics exceeding 300 chapters and the most complete ones reaching 600, so my intention to include everything is a titanic undertaking that discourages me just thinking about it and shouldn't be taken lightly.
As compensation, I'll post the first few chapters I had prepared in quick updates so you can get an idea of the plot and the protagonist. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as my fans do on my other fanfiction.
