Chapter 213 - Chapter 213: Kilgrave Return

Tony looked at the detected data on the screen and suddenly remembered something important. He quickly tapped on the keyboard with urgency, calling up another set of data from the archives. After a brief comparison between the two, he immediately found that the two sets of data were almost identical!

Taking a deep breath to steady himself, Tony looked at Sebastian and said seriously, "Sebastian, take a look at this. These two sets of data are basically the same. In other words, they are actually the same thing!"

Sebastian looked at the two data sets displayed on the screen and asked Tony with concern, "Tony, what is this other thing you are comparing it to?"

"Sebastian, do you remember Kilgrave?"

The moment he heard that name, Sebastian was reminded of the man who had disrupted his peaceful life years ago.

The Purple Man, Kilgrave!

As the first person Sebastian killed in this world, and the first super villain he faced directly, Kilgrave, although dead, always existed in this world in another form, always causing Sebastian considerable trouble even from beyond the grave.

"So, this drug is made using Kilgrave's genes or pheromones, or something similar to that. But how did the person who created it get Kilgrave's genetic material? After Hydra's fall, not even S.H.I.E.L.D. has any genetic samples left of him, save for us. This is what I personally divined and confirmed. Where did they get this material, and how far have they developed the drug?" Sebastian asked with growing concern.

Sebastian knew all too well how formidable Kilgrave's mind control abilities could be. If it were not for his Occlumency training, which protected him from such mental and physical control, it was hard to say what Sebastian would be like now.

Hearing Sebastian's worried words, Tony immediately said to him, "Sebastian, Carol has changed so much since before. Could it be that someone is secretly controlling her with this drug?"

Narrowing his eyes thoughtfully, Sebastian nodded slightly, saying, "It is possible, but if it were strong direct control, I think Carol should be able to detect it with her abilities. So it is likely that this control is subtle and gradual, making it impossible for Carol to detect the manipulation. The most likely person behind it is probably that Raina!"

"Dealing with that Raina is not difficult, but we cannot be too hasty if we want to expose her conspiracy and secret identity. Besides, how can we ensure she does not discover our actions and plans? If I remember correctly, her ability should be to predict the future, right?" Reed asked thoughtfully.

Reed's words reminded Sebastian of the danger. Nodding in agreement, Sebastian said to Reed and Tony, "From now on, only the three of us know about this discovery. Do not tell anyone else about it. As for the three of us, I will cast some protective magic to block precognitive foresight. No matter whether it is magic or superhuman abilities, they will not be able to predict anything related to us or our plans.

By the way, Reed, did you not say before that the source of that surveillance monitor from last time had been investigated? Where did that thing come from? Perhaps it has some connection to this incident. I always feel that the Shadow Council is behind all of this. If we investigate together, we might get some unexpected results."

"I understand completely. Now I will tell you the results of my last investigation," Reed said as he pulled up the relevant data on his computer. Pointing at the data displayed on the screen, he said to Sebastian and Tony, "I analyzed the monitor's composition and the advanced technology within each component carefully.

Ultimately, I concluded that the monitor utilizes a variety of advanced technologies, a small portion of which belongs to various tech companies. However, these tech companies are simply branches or subsidiaries of a larger corporation called Oscorp Industries. I am sure you are all familiar with Norman Osborn's problems, right?

As for the majority of the technology, on the surface, it appears to belong to several completely unrelated tech companies. However, through my investigation, and using Tony's Jarvis to perform calculations and deductions, I have discovered that these seemingly unrelated tech companies all point to a single, colossal entity.

That organization is notorious in the criminal underworld, Advanced Idea Mechanics, also known as A.I.M., a dangerous scientific organization that has collaborated with Hydra several times in the past!"

After receiving Reed's thorough analysis, Sebastian nodded slowly and said, "I would not be surprised if A.I.M. collaborated with the Shadow Council, or if A.I.M.'s leaders joined it directly."

"Hmm..." Tony sat down in his chair, leaning back thoughtfully, and said, "So, the targets we are investigating right now are Oscorp and A.I.M., correct?"

"I suggest we split up our investigation. I will investigate A.I.M., and Tony, you and Reed will investigate Oscorp together. Of course, you can look for that little guy Peter. I think he might have some information we have not uncovered yet, and maybe he can help us," Sebastian suggested.

Sebastian's words made Tony smile knowingly. He nodded and said, "I am planning on looking for that little guy too. We really think alike."

"I am different from you. I simply want Peter to owe me a favor, and you are looking for an excuse to see your heir..." Sebastian said with amusement.

The plan was set, and the three of them prepared to set out separately.

A.I.M.'s headquarters was located in Europe, but Sebastian had no intention of heading there directly. Just now, while looking over the data Reed had listed, he saw a familiar name: Pioneer Technologies!

Long ago, Sebastian had destroyed a Hydra-affiliated organization. Kilgrave's plans and research, which Hydra had not valued at the time, were actually conducted by this company. Sebastian had infiltrated the company, seized and destroyed the research data, completely severing Hydra's ability to study Kilgrave's mind control abilities.

In Sebastian's view, as a Hydra subsidiary, Pioneer Technologies should have declined, if not collapsed entirely, after Hydra's near-destruction. However, this was not the case at all. Without Hydra's support, Pioneer Technologies not only survived the collapse and decline, but actually thrived, becoming a renowned emerging tech company in New York. This unusual development immediately caught Sebastian's attention.

Furthermore, the data Reed had compiled revealed that some of the technology used in the highly advanced surveillance system came from Pioneer Technologies, who had a significant connection to A.I.M. Therefore, Sebastian decided to investigate Pioneer Technologies first, hoping to find the clues he sought.
